I was already planning on getting him neutered!:) I just wanted to know if it would cause any issues during bonding since he’s getting neutered later in life!

That all sounds really good! They are communicating!
The one thing I’ll add is always try to end the session on a good note. So it’s good not to push things too far, but if they start to get feisty, try to calm them down before ending the date so they don’t learn that fighting makes “that other rabbit” go away. You can do this with petting them…[Read more]

I will take as many pics of Oliver as I can get! <3
He will need to be neutered before bonding, even though he isn’t acting super hormonal now. Unneutered buns will mount relentlessly and it prevents a stable bond from forming, even when they other bun is spayed/neutered. Plus you will likely see a HUGE increase in marking and spraying etc.

Hello everyone!! My rabbit is 1.5 years old and is currently not neutered. I plan on getting him neutered soon and was thinking about getting him a friend. If he isn’t getting neutered until recently, will this stop him from being able to bond with another rabbit? He isn’t showing un-neutered bunny behaviors other than circling every now and then.…[Read more]

Hello all,
This is my first post and I’m happy to join the community of bunny parents 🙂
I am the mom of a 7.5 yr old male mix. He has one lump near his left back hip that has grown from 1/8″ to 1/4″ in the past two weeks, and another lump more toward the middle of his back that is the size of a very small pea. His skin is a little dry at the…[Read more]

I am so sorry to hear about your dear Sarafina. I recently found two small lumps on my bun and am concerned. Will you please share updates on your journey through this? How did you find the growths? what did they feel like? How much did it cost to get them removed? Let me know if CBD oil works. I really, really hope the cancer did not spread for…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Two Really Itchy Bunnies – Advantage II ok?? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 3 months ago
I agree with LBJ10, you should get a diagnosis and proper dosage from the vet, especially with their age. These solution vary in concentration and tube size, so the first time it’s best to have a vet give you the dosage. Advantage II does not treat mites, you may get prescribed Revolution.
Also just in case you aren’t aware, never use any product…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Cheaper bunny litter? in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 3 months ago
Yesterday’s News is fine to use. It can be a little pricey. So yes, if you can get cheap pine pellet litter, then go for it. The litter is kiln-dried, so it’s safe to use.

If it’s fresh, then it should be fine. Just verify what it is. As others said, you want to avoid alfalfa.
