        Hello all,

This is my first post and I’m happy to join the community of bunny parents 🙂

I am the mom of a 7.5 yr old male mix. He has one lump near his left back hip that has grown from 1/8″ to 1/4″ in the past two weeks, and another lump more toward the middle of his back that is the size of a very small pea. His skin is a little dry at the surface of the larger lump. It is firm and circular. My vet, who is very good, observed the first, larger one and said to keep an eye on it and if it doesn’t grow larger than an inch or grow at a “fast” rate then it is probably just a cyst. I am now more uneasy because there are two bumps and freaked out that it got bigger although I was told to expect it would-I just dont know if growing .25″ within two weeks is considered “fast” or normal for a cyst.

He is still super spunky and have a good appetite, eating and pooping/peeing normal, eating cecotropes and got good blood tests back 4 months ago.

If anyone on this forum has any experience with cysts or skin tumors in rabbits, I would appreciate any input that you are able to share. What did your rabbits condition look like? how did the lump feel? If you got a tumor removed, what was the cost.

Thank you for reading and please give your bunnies a pet on my behalf:)

        -Cara
