Speed date was okay!
They both had an inital stare off and then when Nellie moved Glenn was initially very startled, thumped, ran downstairs and started darting around the house, eyes bulging… But he collected himself and went back up and after eating some plaintan through the bars together Glenn went to the complete flip side and was standing…[Read more]

Things sound like they are going well! 😊 Bonding can be difficult!
Sounds like they both want to come out on top lol. I would think that Owen hiding his bum away from Molly is equivalent to Molly throwing him off, its probably just his way of saying your not allowed to do that to me. Any refusal to groom is often them just saying no I don’t want…[Read more]

I wouldn’t worry about thay, usual when bunnies are bonded they love eachother and are very happy!
When I bonded Glenn and Bella it was a stand off for month, both showing lots of dominant behaviours then it one day just appeared that Bella could be bother putting up a fight against the mounting etc so just submitted to grooming Glenn and then…[Read more]

Yaaaay for pics of Dorian and Miu! They’re such a beautiful couple!
Is mz Miu by any chance related to Harry Potter? She too has a lightning bolt mark on her forehead 😃🥰

I can finally post photos! I don’t think I have been able to post any of Miu outside my profile pic. Sorry somewhat blurry, it’s a challenge to get them both in focus.

I can be such a worrier about my buns. If I didn’t drive Dana crazy with my super long post while bonding them it’s only because she’s a Saint! I worry when they had gas as well and used to worry about what they might of eaten. One thing that helps me is having a pretty well stocked emergency kit and knowing what to do in most common scenarios. I…[Read more]

I watched a couple of their videos and I could see them in Eurovision! 🤣 I can’t say they’ll become my guilty pleasure, but I respect the camp. I am half German though, as in my father us German & I lived there when I was younger. Unfortunately my German has gotten out of practice, though I can understand okay, just forgot words.
The person…[Read more]

Azerane replied to the topic Did my bunny choke or was he just startled? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 3 months ago
From what you’ve described it sounds more like he was scared suddenly. I have read that rabbits can dart around in alarm when choking, but usually there are other symptoms such as drooling, raising their nose up to try and help them breathe, pawing at the mouth.

Azerane replied to the topic Adult Rabbit Not Eating Pellets (But Eating Hay & Veg!) in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 3 months ago
A change in dietary habits can always be cause for concern. Pellets are the hardest food a rabbit eats so my first thought when there are issues there is a possible dental issue at play. Recently my rabbit Apollo started having trouble eating his pellets and while it wasn’t dental, he had growths on his larynx, the pellets were the only food he…[Read more]

Hey everyone! I am wondering if my lionhead choked tonight or if he was just scared while eating his pellets. I just want to make sure that I don’t need to bring him to the vet due to the risk for aspiration pneumonia after a choking episode. The lights were out and I was in bed and he was in his cage eating his pellets. He jumped out of his c…[Read more]

Yes, we’re so lucky to have good bunny vets in our area! 🙂
That’s good to know about Effi. It used to be that way with Teddy but today it seems like a bit of a vicious cycle where his leg doesn’t “wake up” immediately so he has trouble standing, so then he spends a long time lying down on his weak hip, and then it’s asleep more. And the s…[Read more]

RabbitLove2008 replied to the topic Bunny suddenly peeing on his beds in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 3 months ago
Does he have any new roommates that are making him territorial, perhaps causing the peeing? In my experience, neutered males are less likely to engage in territorial peeing than spayed females, but our current male, “B,” is very much a territorial pee/pooper, more than any male we’ve ever had!

We have a four-year-old adult female Flemish Giant, “H,” without any significant medical history. She has had occasional problems with sneezing (perhaps an allergy), but our vet told us about six months ago that this is essentially normal.
During the past 2-3 days, H has mostly stopped eating her pellets, but still eats her hay and veg well. Our…[Read more]

My neutered rabbit never use to pee on anything other than in his litterbox but recently I have found pee on his bunny beds, why has this suddenly happen (btw my buns live outside but they come into my room (where the beds are) to play) I don’t know whether this habit will stretch to peeing on the carpet and anything else as well. He loves…[Read more]
