You can cut off the loose fur, but be very careful not to nick his skin. You should contact the vet again. Is it both eyes? Are the eyes red and irritated? The vet could prescribe antibiotic eye drops for starters, most commonly fucithalmic, to see if that will help. They should be able to do that without a new visit.
You can put a tiny it of…[Read more]

Hi! Welcome back!
What kind of flooring is it? Carpet? Or wood?
I’ve had the best luck with a big piece of plywood with vinyl tiles stuck on top. I ended up using these tiles that are similar to what they use in hospitals and industrial type places. Then some blankets or grass mats for traction. On carpet I have also used those hard plastic…[Read more]

@Hazel I’m trying not to worry! I actually just dropped my three off with her till Monday for her to work bonding them. I don’t expect them to be fully bonded or anything, but am just hoping she can make some progress and then I can finish them up. If they aren’t showing any forward progress after that, I will probably wait until we move to keep…[Read more]

Very cute set-up. ๐ But yeah it looks like they could nip noses through that fence. You can either make it double walled with a buffer of 4-6 inches, or add some smaller mesh panels (like 1/4″ hardware cloth) to prevent them from nipping each other.
It also looks like the might be able to jump over in the middle, so you might want to make that…[Read more]

They definitely can fight through the fence. They might fight, they might not, there’s no way to be sure until it happens. I think it’s better to be safe than sorry though, so I would make sure they’re separated by a few inches. Plus, if one of them turns out to be a girl, she could get pregnant if they’re that close together.

HipHop: I just asked you for pics in the chat thread, and here they are! Amazing! ๐
That’s one majestic looking turkey! ๐ย What’s his name? Cute duck and chickens too. I hope we can have chickens someday, they’re great!
Prince Dorian: So adorable, he looks so soft, as always. ๐

Dana: Try not to worry too much about Bun Jovi (easier said than done), I’m sure he will be just fine. ๐ย That’s nice of the rescue lady to offer, definitely worth considering! I returned the bale, they were nice about it. I won’t buy another one from them until they get a new batch in though. I got some hay f…[Read more]

Update: Iโm back from the vet with Flamazine cream to apply to Muffinโs chin once daily, and Sulfatrim to give orally: 2ml every 12 hours for 10 days.
The vet suspects that Muffin has dermatitis, so weโll see if this treatment works. She offered to do a swab so they can see what bacteria is affecting him. But itโs very expensive, so we decided…[Read more]

What if I canโt get a vet appointment soon? Is there anything I should do? I guess the vet was wrong when she told me it would go away soon.

Hi,I have 2 male Holland lops who will be coming home oct 9 from the same breeder so they are already acquainted. I plan on having them separated until both are neutered in their own enclosures but close enough that they can still smell and be near each other. Theyโre play pens are connected but separated through a wire wall, so my question i…[Read more]

Thank you for the info. That makes sense. So I will need to limit her access. She has a cardboard hidey box and a maze. I need to come up with some other type of house for her maybe from wood or plastic.ย ย It is just the boxes are so cheap and of course she likes to do her bunstruction. She has toilet paper hay rolls she likes also but I don’t t…[Read more]

Hello everyone!
My boyfriend and I are moving into our own house within a month or two, and the floors were all replaced so they are brand new. My (unbonded) boys are going to have their own room, which is going to contain their separate enclosures and all of their supplies. I am wondering what you guys have had good luck with to lay down under…[Read more]
