I have only used metoclopramide of the motility drugs you mention. It worked very well for my rabbit.

You can cut off the loose fur, but be very careful not to nick his skin. You should contact the vet again. Is it both eyes? Are the eyes red and irritated? They definitely can fight through the fence. They might fight, they might not, there’s no way to be sure until it happens. I think it’s better to be safe than sorry though, so I would make sure they’re separated by a few inches. Plus, if one of them turns out to be a girl, she could get pregnant if they’re that close together.

Update: I’m back from the vet with Flamazine cream to apply to Muffin’s chin once daily, and Sulfatrim to give orally: 2ml every 12 hours for 10 days.
