She has picked up on litterbox training fast once I added a second box. Could have been possibly trained before. :):):)She prefers the box of hay compared to the aspen wood shavings and hay mix. So I might just use hay, albeit it won’t soak up the pee as well, might add a bottom layer of wood, we will see. Have to make an actual woodbox now or go buy a…[Read more]

The lab results also show low hemoglobin and certain white blood cells.

I don’t see anything obvious on the x-rays.

Hello, was wondering if anyone could help with this. The email associated with my account is very old and I don’t use it. I keep trying to update it to my new email. I go to ‘Profile’ –> ‘Accounts’, fill in my password, and then fill out the new email. It then says that an email has been sent to verify the new email change (or I can cancel the…[Read more]

Hopefully you hear back from the vet soon.

Territorial marking can be via smallish pees, but dribbling and small spots can indeed by a sign of a UTI. That being said, UTIs are treatable and she is still eating and acting generally normally, which are great signs when thinking about prognosis.

Update I’m a bit more concerned now. She is eating and drinking normally. Grooming herself and being affectionate. I noticed her laying weirdly and when I picked her up she had left a small spot of pee on the carpet. She was in a loaf but her hind legs were positioned weirdly.file:///C:/Users/laure/Downloads/Image%20(3).jpeg

I would consider this an emergency. There could be more babies that cant get out due to one being stuck in the birthing canal. A baby bun is always an emergency since they’re extremely fragile.

Most of us on BB don’t have a lot of mama-baby bun experience. The forum Rabbits Online is probably a better choice for you, they have a section for…[Read more]

Hello! I have a momma and baby bun. Momma gave birth around mother’s day and 1 baby passed and the other lived. Peanut (baby) is now having wet poops. Momma has been not as active recently. Her belly does feel larger still. Should I consider this an emergency?

    Oh, Ellie 🙁🙁🙁

Make sure he keeps warm. I don’t know how the summer weather is in NL, it’s like November temps here, but a poorly bun can get cold “from the inside” and need warming up. Obviously dont feed refrigerator-cold CC, mix it with lukewarn water, if you keep some already mixed CC in the fridge, pour in some hot water to warm it up before…[Read more]

@Ellie from the Netherlands So glad that things are getting better with Molly!

I got BIG news! Blossom let me pick her up for a few seconds before getting squirmy when before she got automatically squirmy when being picked up! I’m just so happy and proud of her and yes she did get treats for that!

Owen hadn’t eaten all of his pellets last week, but we thought that it was just the heat: he ate enough treats and vegetables.

Last weekend he suddenly stopped eating, and we went to the vet with him early Sunday morning. He got Cisapral for gut motility, Metacam for pain, and CC. He seemed to perk up a little, and yesterday he was munching a lot…[Read more]

It looks like just general irritation due to an eye boogey — I suspect it’ll go away overtime, yes. Imagine you had a particularly ingrained eye crusty or something and got it out — the corner of your eye would likely also be red for a short period.

Hi, this is my rabbits eye. It’s tiny bit red in the corner. We were at vet she said it’s okay and there is not an issue as the eye is not irritated. Will it go away or? Is it alright?

I currently only have one bunny, he’s almost a year old and he has recently gotten neutered. My friend has to move and cannot bring her bunny with her and has asked if I would take her. Her bunny is and unspayed female and is quite old (about 8 years). I would hate to see her have to go to a shelter, but I don’t know if it would be safe to…[Read more]
