Dface replied to the topic Not eating hay in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 5 months ago
One of my rabbits refused hay when I first got him, so I used a brand known as FibaFirst (it is expensive though ) it is a complete food, it is both a pellet and high enough in fibre to be used to wean rabbits that dont eat hay on to it. They are compressed so they encourage chewing and the natural wearing of teeth.
Like the others have said,…[Read more]

Dface,
Thank you for replying. We won’t allow her to have babies and will have her neutered. We just wanted to be sure as it’s an irreversible operation.

Everything in moderation with bunnies, but generally no. Petals contain very little substance for the most part so its hard to over feed them and cause gut problems.
Id say it is safe to feed them daily (as my sensitive tum bun eats flowers all he wants) and we’ve never had any issues with it.

Fibreplex is good, Benebac is good too. I myself use Synbiotic D-C. If I had to use fortilflora I’d rather go with the dog type than the cat type. Feline fortilflora has the right type of bacteria (enterococcus faecium), but it also has taurine. Both the cat and the dog variety contain meat and meat by-products.
Very glad to hear Binky’s eye…[Read more]

It is not really recommended to let them have babies for a number of reasons (some ethical, some health)
This forum actually really doesn’t support the breeding of rabbits (or the discussion of intentional breeding)
Rabbits often make really bad first time mothers. There are a lot of heartbreaking stories of kits not making it being…[Read more]

I played around with my photo earlier and discovered the same issue! I had to change parameters of my pic to get it to centre properly again. There was not a Save option once I uploaded an image. The only way it saved was after I selected “crop”, which as you said, doesnt give option to crop, it just auto-saves.
Do you want to try see if this one…[Read more]

Welcome ChannyPea
As rabbits do not have paw pads, that fur folded over the hock it the only thing protecting the skin. Its not uncommon to fold that back and see a bald spot toward the back of the hock area. Some rabbits have better fur covering then others. It is definitely something to keep an eye on but if the skin is intact and a healthy…[Read more]
