If you want the baby boy rabbit I would start with pre bonding like said, but I would wait until he is neutered. ( after he is neutered you need to wait a month of you could end up with baby bunnies) I would do this to make sure the bond is lifetime.

It is normal for bunnies to be scared of rabbits, they are prey animals. Just take it slow and it would most likely turn out great. My first bunny had no fear of anything, she wanted to be friends with the dog. My other rabbits though was like hell no. He know though is ok with the dog after some time, it just takes time.

He is all good thankfully, he had me really worried. My other rabbit cinnimon has a steel stomach, but I didn’t know if he would because he is my new bunny. My other bunny cinnimon has eat carpet, curtains, beads, beds, and more. She jumps up on my bed to get them, there is no stopping her is seems. Thanks for your guys help.

I haven’t heard of anyone trying anything like this. My gut tells me that a neck brace probably isn’t a great idea. My guess would be that it could be more related to heat stress than ammonia build up. I think sometimes having multiple warm days in a row can really take its toll on a rabbit, so you might not see the effects until later. I have used food grade diatomaceous earth for insects (ants and fleas) around my home and it is safe for use around rabbits, as long as they aren’t breathing the dust.

That’s wonderful!! And good job to you! I think fostering is so great for rabbits like Abi, because the foster home can really give the adopter a better idea of what the rabbit will be like in a home environment (rather than the shelter).

I’m originally from the central valley in CA, so I know what you mean about vets and 4H etc.

$400 for a spay isn’t too unreasonable for a complicated spay, but of course $250 would be nicer.

At any rate, hopefully things will get easier when she’s a bit older.

Some rabbits just can’t have fabric in their pens. Grass or paper mats are a safe option.

I’m so sorry for your loss. 🙁  I have noticed that sometimes a serious issue will present like something treatable, and then suddenly the rabbit will crash. Some bunnies seem to have stomachs of steel. Still… it’s not good for them to eat non-food items. If your bunny is actually eating the fleece, you should take it away.
