I remember when Thumper got the snuffles, I was really worried about him. If it wasn’t for my mom I probably wouldn’t’ve even eaten (which isn’t good especially since I have type-2 diabetes, even at that time which was in 2020) until he did so I can understand completely. I give a “small handful” on top of hay. I just use it as a hay topper! You would probably need a decent amount for it to be harmful, but probably need a bit more than a pinch for efficacy (my guess).

I’ve never formally monitored it, but I’d say typically works within 1-2 hrs and it seems to stick around for a couple after that.

I have seen my buns toss and shake their toys around, but maybe not to this extent! Sounds adorable!

Did the vet think he had a respiratory infection? If so, you could need a different antibiotic.

Alternatively those symptoms can be due to dental issues. Is your vet experienced with rabbit dental issues?
