I am so sorry to hear that, thats awful 🙁
Please do not beat yourself up about it, the fact that you brought him to the vets for a procedure that was so important to his health just goes to show that you cared a lot and you made the right choice. I can vouch that we all would have done the same thing in your situation as it was in the best…[Read more]

Yes, I’ve read somewhere that some bunnies flop on purpose while meeting a new rabbit. Just to show how unimpressed they are. I think it was at the rabbitspeak website.

MissyBun started the topic Peeing and pooping everywhere in the forum BEHAVIOR 4 years, 2 months ago
Our 11 month rabbit has been acting weird lately. She started to pee and poop everywhere although the poops happen less often. She isn’t spayed yet due to some health issues. She’s mainly peeing on the bed which she’s done before but not to that extent, on the carpet which has NEVER happened and on her relatively new bed. I haven’t noticed any…[Read more]

Wonderful news that you have an answer to all those questions! Good idea on going back to the adoption place as well. You might need it in writing from your vet that he isn’t neutered they might want to contact the vet themselves to confirm.

I really appreciate this advice, and it clarifies a lot! I had just been wondering about the balance between the “stick with what works, ditch what doesn’t” mentality when things seem to get stuck in this sort of limbo, but this answered that on top of all my other questions! I’ll try changing the environment again now that they’ve gotten less…[Read more]

Hello and thank you for your answers,
sadly my little angel has’t made it, this is a nightmare for me. It’s extremely devastating especially because I feel like it’s my fault and I didn’t think this would happen so I didn’t even say goodbye to him for the last time.
i don’t know how i’m honestly gonna recover from this Remy was pretty much a…[Read more]

Bunnybutt started the topic Does anyone have any experience with Zylkene? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 2 months ago
Hello!
My little guy is just a bundle of nerves and his vet did some research and suggested trying Zylkene but they weren’t sure if there’s were any side effects to watch for.
Has anyone ever tried it with their bunnies and if so what was your experience?
Thank you!

I know someone who very recently had a rabbit successfully recover from incisor removal (i.e., all front teeth) — the rabbit was eating by the end of the day and has has no complications. There are many successful stories of teeth removal. There are occasions where they grow back due to the vet not removing it cleanly, but that will be based on…[Read more]

I have a really soft throw blanket that my bin loves! It’s his favorite to flop on but he still has traction! I also found that when I use fleece it’s impossible to clean. But the hay and pop just slides right of this soft blanket. Here’s a picture of it!

Hugs to you and yours. A bunny is just much family as a dog, cat or any critter. All my critters count, fish and snails too.🥰
Hope you can heal your heart with a foster or new adoption.

Thank you so much, again!
I’ll get scrubbing right away tomorrow morning! It’s probably going to be an early morning too 😒 I’ve got two bunnies who seem to want to get together again: there’s a lot of rattling at the bars and following each other around.
They had a very short last date because the grass turned out to be too wet, and no date at…[Read more]

Picture time! I think that Owen and Molly are becoming very close. They’re constantly interacting with each other through the bars.
They haven’t had a proper date in the last 2 days because of the weather, and they’re clearly not happy with it. They’re constantly rattling at the bars and trying to interact. Hell, even Molly is rattling the bars,…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Can you mix essential oil in vinegar/water cleaner? in the forum HABITATS AND TOYS 4 years, 2 months ago
Depends on the essential oil and how often he will be in contact with it and how much he will be breathing in the vapors. Some essential oils contain phenols that are harmful to rabbits when they are frequently exposed to them over a period of time.

LBJ10 replied to the topic How to get them to eat their new hay in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 2 months ago
I would give it a little time. They will probably eat it eventually. If they continue to turn their noses up at it, you may need to get some of their old type of hay to mix in.

BunnyLass568 replied to the topic How to get them to eat their new hay in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 2 months ago
Alright, I’ll give it a little longer then. The old hay was Oxbow Timothy hay and the new hay is Ametza Bermuda grass hay that I got off of Chewy.com
