Hi guys. So I don’t know if this is a problem or I am exaggerating but my bunny stopped playing with me. She is perfectly healthy, eating, drinking and pooping normally. She gets exited about treats but when she’s done she goes to her room and lays or sleeps all day. Usually she would be running around me and doing binkies, now she only likes to…[Read more]

Hi, just a simple question. My bun peed and pooped in her “eating area” where she has more hay. The litter box is just next to it. She also has hay in the litter box. I’m curious why she randomly peed somewhere else if she is litter trained and if it’s something to worry about. She has never done this before.

    Hi Venkata!

The topic of intentional breeding of rabbits is prohibited on these forums, so most of our members have very little experience with baby buns. There isvanother forum called Rabbits Online that has a forum section dedicated to breeding questions: https://www.rabbitsonline.net/

That said, baby buns are very sensitive, and if they get…[Read more]

    Hello everyone.

I have a bunny mother with 6 babies. Everything was fine. Mother was weaning. Littles ones are roaming. One morning, I saw the mother to have diarrhea all over her play pen. It is summer, a weird summer this year. But I gave her cooler whole day. Gave water and good grass. Here grass is locally grown. So with change of season, we…[Read more]

hmm ive tried letting him roam during that 10.30-11.30am time period and he peed at the corner of my desk, but outside of that time frame he pees in his litter box

there hasnt been any changes in the house that i could think of during the time he started to pee outside

i use 50/50 vinegar and water, i’ll give nature’s miracle a try, thank you so much!

Bunbun has made a full recovery!

I wouldn’t say they happen frequently, but it’s happened enough that I’m able to deal with it quickly, and thankfully the CC and Simethicone work like a charm every time. 😀
Thanks again to everyone for the advice and information. 🙂

I have a feeling that in this case, it was either Bunbun swallowing a little of…[Read more]

A dental issue does seem like the most likely cause. I had a bun who had the tiniest molar spurs, so tiny the vets didnt believe his inappetence was caused by a dental problem. After 3 weeks of syringe feeding (which he definitely didnt appreciate), they decided to do a molar burr. After the burr it took 5 days before he started to eat on his own,…[Read more]

I think you should keep going! fights are sometimes unavoidable during bonding, best to get back on the horse! The fur flying can make things really dramatic, but it’s best to keep going if you can and the fighting isn’t too bad (it doesn’t sound like it was too bad).

But if you can, I’d go to a more neutral area, or at least remove the litter…[Read more]

Hmm that’s very strange! The corner peeing sounds more like marking. He’s not marking anywhere outside his pen right? Have there been any changes in the house? new pets, people, or cleaning products?  Him going to the groomers could be triggering him to want to mark when he gets home, but I would probably only expect that right when he got home,…[Read more]

You could start with a few hours a day, but ideally to “cement” a bond they should spend at least 48 hours together (and have no aggression during that time).

How long has it been since he ate?

If he hasn’t eaten since his dinner last night, then you should consider this an emergency (he could be fully in stasis) and get him to the vet ASAP.

You can try giving him gas drops and another tummy rub while you are waiting to get to the vet, but if it really has been since last night since he atea anything…[Read more]

Just catching up on this, sorry he’s still up and down.

I saw back in the thread that he had a dental a year ago? Did he improve after that? If so it could just be that he due for another one? Just wondering how thorough his check up was. Sometimes even a tiny spur will make a bun get really picky about food, and pain in itself can cause gut…[Read more]

I went to feed my bun his pellets this morning, and usually he’s very excited, but today he just stayed in his spot and didn’t come up to his food. I held a pellet up to his mouth and he turned away, also pushed his stomach to the floor. I tried giving him a freeze dried banana, he ate half of it, but now won’t eat any more of it.

    He ate his p…[Read more]

    *sigh*

Feeling deflated, Glenn is still a bit up and down, polished off his breakfast of salad and pellets this morning but now is a bit meh, reduced appetite again.

I got to the vets today but my train ended up being 20 minutes late so I missed my appointment but because I was there the vet squeezed us in but could only see us for a quick 5…[Read more]
