I think you’re right and that this was due to the bunny-play date. It sounds pretty minor though so I suspect it will resolve on it’s own. I don’t think this counts as a full un-bonding as they didn’t get into an all-out fight.

How are they doing now after you wiped them down? I would supervise them for a couple days and see how it goes. You can…[Read more]

    The one I have has external measurements of 26″ x 18″ x 6″ (8.5 gallon/ 34 quart capacity). It’s called “Rubbermaid Commercial Products Food Storage Box/Tote for Restaurant/Kitchen/Cafeteria”

We have 2 2year old rabbits, a spayed girl and neutered boy. They were bonded successfully more than a year ago. The day before we went to a bunny gathering with many other rabbits. They did interact with the other rabbits but mostly hung out together. When we went home they were fine as well, but this morning they started showing unbonding…[Read more]

For the poop, just plop those in the litter box, and for the pee, spot clean with vinegar spray. It is natural they would mark something new in the area and obviously it overlaps with where they currently were going, but I’d give it more time in addition to cleaning vigilantly. Did you try a bigger box as suggested?

August! I hope you’re all having a lovely summer, unless you happen to be in the southern hemisphere -in which case, I hope you’re having a lovely winter!

It’s been raining a lot here, which is great for chanterelles (type of delicious mushroom). Here’s a picture from a few days ago, of a lovely patch of chanterelles that we came across:

Hey. Sorry theres been a delay on the update, busy week!

    They are BONDED!

Sorry I followed the advice you gave above! It was helpful to know it worked for you that way. I ended up moving them to semi neutral and we done 3 over nights and long days, short seperatations for work ect. Luckily my partner had some time off and felt comfortable w…[Read more]

I would love to order stuff from the BB store but I don’t think there is an option to ship to UK yet 🙁

    Thanks for the suggestions!

So I put the rug down, but they’ve been pooping and peeing more on the rug :/ I don’t really have access to laundry machines that often so it’s hard to clean up.

I agree withthe others, it looks like fur mites. My Bam had fur mites called cheyletiella parasitovorax that looked exactly like that. Selamectin (Revolution) or ivermectin will will help. I did one repeat treatment after 2-3 weeks. After

He’s very adorable, and is a gorgeous color..sounds like he is very happy now which is the most important thing, I think he could definitly have lop in him cause Jinx 1 of my bunnies is part Lionhead and Lop and his ears helicopter all the time, he sounds like he’s a survivor..your lucky you can get the vaccine for RHD, around where I am it’s not…[Read more]

Thanks! I was wondering, and hoping, that’s all it was.  The only info I find about males and hormones is about them spraying. This is just random very tiny drops. I only notice them because his mat is waterproof so they bead up.  I now see my pics didn’t load for some reason.

Thanks so much everyone. The bunnies thoroughly enjoyed their day playing with different toys 🙂 I gave them back their cardboard maze which they haven’t had in a long time, Luna worked so hard on chewing it that I found her passed out inside with her chin resting on one of the doorways.

I asked the vet about the microchip- because I can’t bear the thought of someone out there missing their beloved bunny. She said her machine is older and wouldn’t work well for this, but also that people rarely chip bunnies. She thinks he might have been “released” or escaped a backyard. Her advice was to take him to a shelter and they could c…[Read more]

I have a small hand vacuum for the buns stuff, and I generally use a broom on their enclosure. I also vacuum up hay with my regular vacuum, my long hair is going to cause way more damage than so odd pieces of hay that are easy to remove. For blankets and rugs I shake them out really well, spot vacuum anything left and throw them in the wash. I do…[Read more]

Welcome to the forum! Thank you for rescuing these bunnies. Bam makes a good suggestion. It may been less expensive to have the boys done first. Of course, everyone will eventually need to be spayed/neutered before you can successfully bond them.
