I have many critters, this stuff doesn’t damage the washer.

Shake them out, pop in washer with a bit of Lysol laundry sanitizer, all good.  If there are any pieces of hay left, it easily vacuums out.

Can you set them up in a neutral area of your home temporarily? Such as a bathroom or another room they don’t spend much time in? Sometimes just a short stay in a neutral space will help them resolve these little disputes.

I do pretty much the exact same thing as Jersey! Agree that having a cheap and abundant source of hay makes like so much easier!

That’s a good point @LBJ10. I know when I looked it up online, they made it sound like there was only 1 factory/plant in the whole U.S. that produced the Yesterday’s News pellets, and the newspaper recycling from that city and a few close cities were the only sources of paper for it. They are really on and off. I found them flopped next to each other earlier today. They were also grooming each other. But between these moments they would still be bickering. I’m really confused!

I couldn’t order the BB ones either (I’m in Australia) so I made a version of them using “hardware cloth”, the wire mesh. I just folded the edges in. But I did need to replace after a while because the edges would invariably start to come apart. The BB store one has sealed edges.

These days I don’t use a screen.

I can’t wait for it to be warm and dry 🙂 I’m not much of a winter person, the short days with less light are a real bummer. Last month of winter at least in the run up to summer and Christmas chaos. As long as we get a hot, dry summer this year, and not the humid awfulness we had last summer.
