If she is pregnant, she knows she is pregnant. First-time moms can be “bad”, but they will still give birth as that is what their body is designed to do.

How long does it take until a rabbit gives birth? One of the females is getting quite fat and is putting on weight but she isn’t building a nest or biting fur from her belly. I can’t feel any nipples on her belly either.

Okay, that makes me feel SO much better!!! I was really concerned I was feeding her too little. Believe it or not, about two minutes ago she ate a few pieces of lettuce on her own and ate a few more when I put more down :,) and she was chewing on her seagrass ball! Thank you so much for the comfort, all!

10 -15 mL at a time is actually quite good IMO! My vet would have me do 12 mL, 3 times a day for a bun that wasn’t eating. You don’t need to feed overnight, because buns need to sleep too.

Keep offering her a variety of fresh herbs and greens and shoving hay in her face. The first 48 hours are the hardest! You got this!

That is a very good point about lighting! I was also thinking that having it more dim might help but that makes a lot of sense about contrast!

Mmm… my advice is don’t buy pricey items until after you have your rabbits and know what their individual habits are like. Save that money for future vet visits!
