How has Teddy been doing with the tramadol? I’m going to ask my vet about the dose concentrations, I’m very curious! I know she wanted to start us off low so we had room to increase as needed, so that could explain it.

Sometimes a change in location triggers the bun to decide they want their litter box in a new area, or them temporarily mark the area. If the peeing outside the box continues, try moving the litter box to that area. 🙂

Ideally she could be let out to exercise without being picked up, and she should have at least a week to settle in to her housing before you try to interact with her much. He’s also being a perfectly normal young bun. At nearing 3 months, he’s coming into bunny adolescence, aka bun puberty. It’s great that he used to be perfectly litter trained – this means what’s going on now is due to a hormonal storm. He can’t help it and neither can you.

The ceco you saw is most likely due to his cecal microbiota having been a bit disturbed. This is perfectly normal post surgery. The best remedy for this is hay, water and exercise.

He did eat all his salad last night and is eating more hay so hopefully he’s getting a good amount on his own and the bit I gave him will just be a topper. I’m having the same little problem right now! I don’t have a suggestion for litter, but I would suggest to make sure that the litter doesn’t have any baking soda in it. Some store brands put baking soda in there and it’s not good for the buns.
