**Please understand this is for medical end of life comfort **
I know everybun is different but what are some yummiest foods/treats *regardless of health implications*, though hopefully not make stasis worse as bun is persistently near stasis but runny/soft poo is better than opposite. Need easily obtainable/online (US) as I’m housebound myself.…[Read more]

I believe the cutoff for Holland lops is 4lbs. This does not mean that a Holland weighing a bit more than that isn’t a Holland. It just means they don’t fit the breed standards and are probably a false dwarf. Looking at his features though, I would say he’s probably a non-conforming Holland. Now, if we’re talking WAY over the weight limit, then he…[Read more]

Very close bonded buns can have somebun with it, while others of the group are perfectly fine. There really isn’t any need to do anything special, especially with time between, other than everybun should feel safe (who’s this otherbun’s smell that’s all over).

Every single of my post goes to error page after submit (though it actually posts) and goes into wait for moderation (don’t know if this is a new thing but only pics did this before).

Thank you so much! You guys have been immensely helpful with my questions the last couple of days and I’m so grateful! I can’t wait to give this bun the love and care he deserves ❤️

Thank you for saving this bun!
He looks like a Holland lop or Mini lop, but most buns are of mixed breeds or somehow not fitting the breed standard. Just weighing a bit too much at a certain age will disqualify a show rabbit from being shown, but it def doesn’t mean there’s something physically wrong with the bun. (Btw he’s adorable!)
It’s good…[Read more]

Hey guys! After my senior rabbit passed away I decided I wanted another bun in my life. I wanted to originally adopt from a rescue (which would have been the smart and safe option), but I made the mistake of browsing Craigslist and came across this bun who was in a really bad situation. The rabbit has been kept in a tiny cage for his whole life…[Read more]

Thank you for the replies. I have a call in to our vet to see him again. He last had a checkup in Spring, but this is new since then. We have a great vet who is trained and experienced with bunny care. A couple strange things about Boozhy’s behavior now is that he likes the tough hay stalks the most, and he seems as happy and content as eve…[Read more]

If you’re needing to get fur off of things when spot cleaning, I like to use those pet hair removers. The ones with the rubber “blade” that you run across the surface and the fur starts accumulating in a big clump.

The blanket worked out ok, only ok because hay got stuck to it and it was hard to get rid of! 😅 Anyway, another tip question, I’ve been spot cleaning with a broom and dustpan (the vacuum hurts my ears) and I’ve been struggling, more so recently than before. Any tips on spot cleaning?

If you are unable to create a neutral space, would it be possible to take them to someone else’s house to attempt bonding? That way they would both be in an unfamiliar environment.

Thank you, just replied to your Reddit comment although I can copy it here if it’s easier?

They’re separated through a baby gate which splits the apartment in half so they each get half of it. I’ve just bought a pen too with the intention of using it for bonding them but I’m currently suspecting they’d fight through it so may need to use it for other purposes than intended.

(Copy and pasted from my response to you on Reddit)
If you cannot provide neutral territory to bond them, you cannot bond them, especially now that they have repeated instances of getting and fighting at each other. I understand rabbits can be very motivated to escape and get to each other, but it is very much the owner’s responsibility for the…[Read more]

Hi everyone, this is my second time asking for advice in just a few days (although over different issues) – I must be doing something wrong!
I’ve got two male rabbits, Patch (the black and white one) and Binky (the grey one). Both are about 7 months old. They came to me together at about 10 weeks old and were always very loving to each other…[Read more]

Yes, don’t obsess! What I tried to describe is just normal cleaning in prep for a new bun or buns. I use Virkon bc its readily available here where horses are common as “pets”, but it could be overkill.

We’ve been having some spicy hay (power cord) issues here lately, if you know what I mean. Other than that, things have been pretty great. The weather has been hot though. We were out of town for a week and apparently it was REALLY hot while we were gone. But even for Labor Day weekend, it’s in the upper 90s.

Yes, I wouldn’t be too concerned. Just clean anything that you’re going to reuse, but I wouldn’t obsess about it. Most bunnies have Pasteurella. They are exposed at a young age and it becomes part of the microbiome in their sinuses.

It might not hurt to try. Although they might get upset if they are used to having a large area 24/7. Do you have exercise pens or baby gates that you could use to make their spaces smaller?
