Wood stove pellets can contain wood from coniferous trees. Where I live, that is standard. Wood stove pellets are however kiln dried, which means most of the terpenes and other potentially harmful chemicals natural to these types of wood have evaporated.

You can give him another handful of greens. Serve them freshly rinsed and dripping wet – that is a very good way to get extra water into a bun, and water is crucial for a smooth passage through the intestines.

Such a good girl! Labs really do love water! We’ve dogsat an old brown lab a few times, and when we came near water on walks,  even if it was just a water-filled ditch, the whole dog like lit up with energy. Like “Wo-hoo, this is my life’s true purpose!”

He is acting normally, as long as he has hay and water, he should do great, and tomorrow morning when its time for breakfast could be a good time to see how she’s doing, if she doesn’t eat breakfast, something is probably up, but considering she is eating and drinking well, I think she is gonna be fine.

Updates: seems to be doing OK  👌 he is eating lots of hay drinking water and digging around in his litter box.. im thinking about giving him another handful of veggies to give him somthing else to digest .. i ended up putting a thin strip of cardboard so the pad can no longer slide:( i can’t belive this happened

This is how Hunny has been eating since whatever she has set in. Notice how much tongue work there is and how little teeth. I’d blame the procedure Hunny had, but this was happening even before then. I’m worried my girl will choke on something…

LB I thought the same thing because Pacey used to do that. He would get bored with a toy and stop playing with it. So I would take it and give him something else for a while.

But I rotate her toys regularly so she doesn’t get bored with them.

he ate about 1 inch  🙁 In one spot and then chewed about a dime size in another …i can’t tell if it was shredded… or chewed I know he loves to chew so im assuming the worst

My buns really eat more hay when they have small fluffy piles that I refresh frequently, rather than a hay rack stuffed full. Bunnies can be very particular about how they like their hay!

little update: the little man pooped on my bed… Thank god rabbit droppings are dry, odorless, and made of plant materials. For now, I’m going to stop him from free-roaming at night and will leave him in his xpen at night, despite the bar wiggling he does, I don’t need my bed to be a litter box :/ I put the droppings back into his litter box and…[Read more]

@Thorbunny I love Terrance! He is such a sweet gentle boy!

Here’s so more pics of his cute little tattered face. He really got beat up by some bun at some point in his past but I think he is still very handsome! I feel like he looks like he could have been Bertha’s son. 🙂

I would encourage her to eat lots of hay and water to push any bits through and keep any eye on her for the next 24 hours or so. Definitely something to prevent in the future but as long as she didn’t eat a ton of it she will likely be able to pass anything through.

Ok thank you .. lf course this happened just as I was about to go to sleep …never a dull moment being a bunny momma I feel like i have 2 fluffy toddlers running around .. one that pees everywhere and one that destroys everything!!
