They definitely need to stay separated. In fact you should double up on the fence with a few inches in between so they don’t bite each other through the fence.

I’m looking for a vet, I hadn’t noticed the bump until yesterday so it formed within the past day. They have been separated since we got them. It’s been about 5 days. We are afraid to let them be together, but there pen is fence in between them so they spend a lot of the day sniffing and touching noses. And they sleep next to each other too.

She’s quite clumsy so I wouldn’t rule out anything. She seems to be exactly as she normally would. My boyfriend said he didn’t even notice the blood until I pointed it out so it is either from this morning when we went into the cage to greet her or from last night.
She’s eating and is running around like normal. She doesn’t seem to be favouring…[Read more]

Check her nails, she might have broken one. Also check her toes if you find a broken nail. Check for swelling. Is she putting weight on all four feet? A broken nail is not a vet emergency unless there are signs of something more going on.
I assume you are aware that rabbit pee can be red. Sometimes new rabbit owners mistake red pee (which is…[Read more]

Hello,
I came into my rabbits cage today and saw blood on the floor. It looks like she may have had an accident while we were sleeping. She is acting normal and by the patterns I think it’s one of her back feet.
Would I be okay to keep an eye on it before bringing her to the vet? Due to Coronavirus our vet is still being extremely cautious so i…[Read more]

The important thing is to rule out if it is a sound of discomfort. A congested nose can make a slightly squeaky sound. If your rabbit is doing this while the couple seem to be blissfully relaxed, it could very well be just a sound of contentment. Is there any chance you could record it so we could listen?
Even neutered rabbits can make “hormonal”…[Read more]

Sometimes they sneeze 5-6 times in a row. Sometimes (especially Lola) sneezes 8-9 times in a row. But this only happens maybe once/twice a week. The rest of the week it’s maybe 2 or 3 sneezes spread out throughout the whole day.
My sister tends to pick them up, and neither of them are very fond of it, but, she has been doing so since the day we…[Read more]

I want another rabbit so so much. Joey goes with me to the shelter sometimes and she absolutely loves playing with the other rabbits. She’s a big girl but especially loves the little netherland dwarf and tiny lionhead boys they have there right now. Both have been offered to me multiple times but I keep turning them down.
During the whole world…[Read more]

Well… I guess the benefit of an MRI is it will show any lesions (if present). Most people don’t go that far because an MRI would be expensive. They would just treat for suspected EC. But, hey, if they find lesions then I guess that would be an answer to the EC question. And if they don’t, then… well, it has to be dental. I just don’t know what…[Read more]

I wouldn’t freak out just yet. Give the switch back to the aspen litter a little longer, just in case it was the pine after all. How many times are they sneezing? And is it many sneezes in a row or just here and there? They should eventually see a vet if the sneezing continues. As long as they are eating and pooping fine, it likely isn’t an…[Read more]

What makes this so hard is Hunny is technically my mother’s rabbit. I therefore have to “go with the flow” in this process. I voice my opinion when I can, but otherwise, my family says to just “trust the vets.” Like I said, we were given specific instructions to stop the Panacur. I have no clue why, other than the fact Hunny’s tests came back…[Read more]

I was just coming here to see if there was an update on Hunny. I’m sorry to see there hasn’t been improvement. It sounds like she is steady though, so that’s good.
If they are pushing you to see a neurologist, then I’m still curious why they said to stop the Panacur. It makes no sense to me. In the end, it probably is a dental issue… but at one…[Read more]

Hi everyone!
This is my first time using Binky Bunny Forum so I apologize if anything is not according to the template.
I have two a 6 month old holland lop bunnies, both female and not spayed yet. We have been meaning to take them but due to the pandemic it’s a little delayed, they turned 6 months old on June 23. They are both from the exact…[Read more]

I’d have a vet look at it, if it’s an abscess it will have to be treated. I wouldn’t let them have any physical contact until they’ve both been neutered. Are you trying to bond them?
