Ditto, what Hazel said. Re-homing is, unfortunately, the best option you have, for if you keep procrastinating it, you will become too attached to him. You have to look at what is best for the rabbit. Step out of your shoes, and imagine you were him –  if you could choose, what life would you want? Don’t overthink it, it is not a multistep…[Read more]

I would get them to a vet, seeing as you want to get them vet checked anyway there’s no real reason to delay it.

Not being allowed into the vets is only stressful for us, its no worse than a regular appointment  for them, if anything its probably easier because they dont associate you with the stress.

There’s a lot of reasons for rabbits to…[Read more]

@Louiethebunny They are such cuties! <3 Did they hop up there on their own? Snuggle bunnies! Also, did you make that hidey-house under them? That’s some good crafting. 😉

    I just can’t get my ladies to pose… 🙄

Lessons in Friendship Part 3: Showing off

It’s important to show other rabbits how great you are.
Pick your strongest trait, for example, speed.
Let them know that in the event a predator attacks, you will survive, and  you will leave them to die. That is a sacrifice you are willing to make.

Thank you for the info! He only had the one gross poo and has seemed totally fine since. I’m actually shocked at how fast he bounced back from this since the vet told me he had no gut sounds at all when I dropped him off. My other bun had stasis 3 times and was always a bit under the weather for a few days but Wall was a-ok starting on day 2.

Oh my gosh I’m so glad you noticed! Everyone remember: rabbits can’t breathe through their mouth! If you notice an obstruction in their nose, even just a little bunny booger, it needs to be removed right away.

If rehoming is the only option, make sure you charge an adoption fee, people like to pick up free rabbits for snake food. Also, you should get him fixed before finding him a new home.

    Hi,

I am a 4th year college student and I recently had gotten a rabbit during quarantine a few months back home. I thought it would be good to have a companion during the quarantine months as it could help with the anxiety. I have had rabbits before, which was probably why I acted overconfident and impulsive in adopting one, but now that I’m in…[Read more]

No it’s not necessary! Unless you live in a country which requires RHD vaccinations,  there are not any preventative medicines needed for your rabbit.

I’m very sorry to hear that. 🙁  My ferret has cancer and is on Prednisolone. As the others have said, you don’t want your rabbit on steroids, but if there’s no way around it, I would see if your vet will prescribe Prednisolone instead of Prednisone, it’s easier on the liver.

I’ve had success in shrinking my ferrets tumors with CBD, it also…[Read more]

I would like to know if it is necessary to use antifungal spray on bunny’s skin for like once a month to prevent skin diseases.

I’m so very sorry. As LBJ says, corticosteroids should be used with extreme caution in rabbits. It is used as a last resort in acute cases of e cuniculi or spinal injury etc, in the form of one single injection, not as maintenance treatment. NSAIDs (meloxicam and other non-steroidal ant inflammatory painkillers) must not be given together with…[Read more]

I have no doubt he will forgive you. It depends on the bunny, but they usually come around on their own. I mean, who else is going to give them treats?

She sounds like a normal bunny to me. It certainly isn’t usual for some to be skittish. I agree with the others, you’re doing great working with her. Keep it up and, as Dana said, try playing hard to get. 😉
