I have 3 months old French lop bunny. The breeder said that I should give to Romeo 2.5dl pellets for junior rabbits every day until he is 1 year old. It is 1.5 to 2.5dl/day to other bunnies too. After 1 year, the amount should be smaller. Doesn’t matter wether you give half of it on the morning and other half on the evening. I give only on…[Read more]

<p style=”padding-left: 40px;”>This is their final home! They were in their neutral until they were ok without supervision so I decided to try the non neutral permanent home.
Maybe we can try the play area tonight or tomorrow. I just wasn’t sure if I should sleep by then tonight but I think they are good. It’s just how you described something cli…[Read more] -

The scent glands can get plugged up and need cleaning (pretty easy to do), or they could just actually be marking with them. If it’s just from cecotropes then you wouldn’t need to do anything.

You can check the front teeth at home by pulling back her lips, but the back teeth need to be checked by a vet.

Woohoo!!! Congrats!!!
Of course we all want to see pictures!
So technically I would prob supervise again tonight if you can. But you can trust your gut. If they just seem like the best friends ever and are totally happy with each other, they are prob fine.
Moving to a new zone (especially if it’s not neutral), and increasing the space they are…[Read more]

Oh no I forgot to sniff it before I put it in the wash 😢. The next time it happens I’ll check to see what it smells like.
What would it mean if it’s from the scent glands? Cecotropes? Or needs cleaning?

Our first over night went great! They seem to be bonded. I know the rule of thumb is 48 hours. Does that mean they need supervised tonight as well or are they good?!? When can I let them out in their play area together? After the 48 hours?

Also, I have one more concern but I dont want to make a whole new thread because I kind of come up with many new worries at once heh but how do I check Rain’s teeth properly? I tried my best because I really want to make sure theyre okay and I’m kind of panicking because the bottom and top seem misaligned, but I’m not sure if this is just from…[Read more]

I have only used metoclopramide of the motility drugs you mention. It worked very well for my rabbit.

You can cut off the loose fur, but be very careful not to nick his skin. You should contact the vet again. Is it both eyes? Are the eyes red and irritated? The vet could prescribe antibiotic eye drops for starters, most commonly fucithalmic, to see if that will help. They should be able to do that without a new visit.
You can put a tiny it of…[Read more]

Hi! Welcome back!
What kind of flooring is it? Carpet? Or wood?
I’ve had the best luck with a big piece of plywood with vinyl tiles stuck on top. I ended up using these tiles that are similar to what they use in hospitals and industrial type places. Then some blankets or grass mats for traction. On carpet I have also used those hard plastic…[Read more]

@Hazel I’m trying not to worry! I actually just dropped my three off with her till Monday for her to work bonding them. I don’t expect them to be fully bonded or anything, but am just hoping she can make some progress and then I can finish them up. If they aren’t showing any forward progress after that, I will probably wait until we move to keep…[Read more]
