I am currently trying to solve this problem as well. I think I am going to purchase one of those hard mats that you put beneath office chairs. I have had luck searching for these by typing out ‘hard floor protector hardwood floors’. I found one thats about 4 feet x 5 feet for $40. Pricey but if you are renting and need to protect the floors might…[Read more]

I have had so many difficulties finding a suitable litter pan for my rabbit. Initially I just had a regular pan for her, but she would sit in there and her bum would get really dirty and matted. I solved this by putting a grate on the pan. However, she would pee off the edges, and also i think it wasn’t so comfortable. After this I began…[Read more]

Could you put a piece of cardboard on top of the cage? You could secure it with clips or zipties. I agree with the others. Either make a safe way for her to get up and down or find a way to block access completely.

George pass away at the age of 7. He was having GI stasis issues and had a seizure. He was a great friend and companion.

You could put a blanket or something else on top to make it safe for her to be on top of?
Or block access with storage cube grids or something similar.

Haha! She actually likes them, despite appearances! I was able to make her pen larger since I don’t have to deal with an x-pen buffer!Β And now all three are sleeping near each other on opposite sides π <3

The current vet is one who handles exotics, so luckily she is rabbit savvy.Β Unfortunately, even though things were starting to look more positive this morning, I just spoke with the vet again and Hershey has not nibbled any more food and has not pooped at all.Β She also said that he had a bit of a fever.Β So he will be in the hospital again to…[Read more]

Hey guys. My rabbit is a digger. I have just moved and in my new home is all hardwood floors. The last few days my rabbit has been in an oversized dog crate – you know the kind ? It has a hard plastic tray on the bottom. This has actually been great because the tray keeps her cool and she can dig all she wants and it won’t destroy the floor.…[Read more]

Its close to my knee. I donβt want her to go on top of it. Itβs wire and thereβs spaces between them, when she is on top her foot might slip in between and she might get hurt

“What triggers the chase?”
Haha, Smokey coming remotely near them. π They can be fine with Smokey sometimes and will flop with her and groom her.Β Other times, they just chase her away. No, it doesn’t lead to circling, Smokey is a sweet bun, sometimes they will corner her, and she’ll turn around to face them. You can definitely tell though,…[Read more]

I have also used cardboard in a pinch! But they will prob chew through it so you would need to replace it often. π

I also wonder if you could add some steps or a ramp for her to go up and down more safely? I had a foster that would jump up on things but was afraid to go down. I kept finding him hungry and thirsty stuck on the top level of his condo! Adding some ramps did the trick. π

How tall is her x-pen? Does it have a wire bottom? Maybe you could make a little stepping stool that is big enough for her to land on when she is jumping down? I have a rabbit named Smokey who has a fear of heights as well. Although, she’s too scared to go jumping on things higher than 2-5 inches! π But having something that is around the…[Read more]
