My mother-in-law built a small vegetable greenhouse on her balcony. She wants my bunny’s poop all the time, for fertilizer. But doesn’t know how to use it as fertilizer. You give information and the subject helped me a lot. Thanks 😊😊

Now that is funny and awful all at once. Reminds me of my grandparents buying a dog bowl filtration system for their dogs. Is there any way to do something like that?

Where I used to live the water was really hard. The animal’s water bowls would get a hard line of calcium no matter how often you cleaned them, and the water was terrible on my hair…[Read more]

Ah, I’m happy I’m not the only one with escaping bunny problems. Our new little one, Doodle, is so tiny she manages to escape from a particular hole in the extra-large dog kennel we’ve been using until I can bond her with our older rabbit, Snicker. I kept trying to block it but Doodle kept managing to get out about once a day. At least she’s easy…[Read more]

It seems like everyone has a different way of doing it. Though, from what I’ve read here and other sites the most popular ways seem to be dissolving it in water, adding it to compost, mixing it with potting soil, and using it as a topsoil. When I was reading more about mixing it with your potting soil, it said that this also helps with drainage.…[Read more]

Now that is really funny about the Netherland Dwarf in the garden. Hey, that could be a fun book title. I can just imagine the frustration, but at the same time, you’d only have yourself to blame for the bunny escape.

So, once a week I’ve started refilling my watering can with water and a handful of pellets. I then let it soak for a day or two.…[Read more]

I just found this on granite: “Additionally, studies have shown that granite dust, which gets into the ingredients pounded in a granite mortar and pestle, contains 5% potassium and has associated with it 16 minerals. Potassium aids the functions of the cells and different organs in our bodies.”…

Is extra potassium good or bad for rabbits?

He is 100% free roaming so no xpen, so that is not an option 🙁

And yes granite is porous and that’s why I am concerned about granite dust particles  in his water. It does not really harm us humans but could not find any reference to bunnies…

Maybe I should try a marble mortar? It is non-porous. It is just not as heavy (2 pounds/1kg)……[Read more]

Louie is 4 months. I started to change his diet from only feeding him pellets to feeding him a few leaves of greens and Timothy hay. Nothing happened so that’s good. I didn’t give him treats until he was 3 months aswell. I actually am the one who’s more strict about giving him things because I don’t wanna hurt his tummy. It’s my sister and my mo…[Read more]

Don’t fret! It’s better to block things and prevent fights if you aren’t sure. As your confidence builds and you get a better sense of their behaviors, you will feel better about when to intervene and when not to.

But that’s great they accepted pets together, and sounds like the new housing set-up will help!

Ugh, I feel like I made things worse by blocking all of those behaviours – then again she can easily escalate things so who knows.

Yes, they do enjoy being petted! About a week ago I even managed to get them to sit nose to nose while I petted them both. I’ll keep alternating who I’m petting so they can smell each other.

As of yesterday I have 2…[Read more]

Young bunnies shouldn’t really have treats, and it’s recommended to wait to introduce veggies until they are 12 weeks old. Then you want to introduce each type slowly, no more than 1 new veggie a week, because their digestive systems are still getting established. It’s most important to establish good hay eating habits at a young age, and too many…[Read more]

It’s of course very wise to go ahead with the echocardiogram! If there is tissue damage to the heart, it could be medically addressed regardless of the  cause.

It’s wonderful that you’re seeing improvement! And yes, rabbits are just horrible with their subtle, barely noticeable compromized-health-induced behavioral changes. But that’s an…[Read more]

Thank you for that extra information. I didn’t know it affected the heart, but it does make sense. I have decided to go ahead with the echocardiogram anyway as a precaution. At the very least I’ll find out if there’s any serious damage to worry about and allow us to treat accordingly. That’s on Friday.

On the plus side, I do think Luna is…[Read more]

We are a nation very fond of eating😂 I love cooking, i always cook. I cook 5-6 kinds of food a day. I make my own bread every day.

I constantly have to pay attention to my weight. I can’t eat half of the food I cook, my husband always eats 😂😂😂.

    Hi,

I currently have two bunnies Mochi (3 years old) and Benji (7 years old). I recently got Benji about a month ago and he and Mochi bonded very quickly. I have them both free roamed in my room, but Benji keeps pooping and peeing everywhere. I got him from this lady who kept him in a cage, but said he was pretty potty trained. Since I’ve had h…[Read more]

Haven’t been able to find anything lately on the internet. I see a difference in louies behavior. I’m concerned he may be sick or is in pain. Usually he’s very hyper active but for the past few days he’s been laying down, sleeping, biting the walls(I take him off), sneaking some cat food(1 pellets maximum). He’s always excited to get his daily veg…[Read more]

Isn’t granite porous? I would be worried about stuff growing in it and it being difficult to clean.
