Thank you very much for your comment 🙂 I guess after reading almost every article there is on bunny poop, where everyone says poop should be one color and the same size, I was not sure if it is okay. I will definitely keep an eye on him since he is still growing and things might change.

If you’re having trouble finding a vet, look for vets listed as “exotics” vets. My vet office is actually locally known as a bird vet, but one of the doctors specializes in small critters, including rabbits.

This is normal. I wouldn’t be overly concerned, but it’s always a good idea to keep track so you know what’s normal for him.

RE: Poopy butt – This is probably due to arthritis. Have you considered doing sanitary shaves?

Keeping them separated until they are, at the very least, healed would be ideal. IF you decided to try to keep them together, then you will need to be prepared to separate them immediately if a problem arises. Ah, I understand. I have two buns who would wreak destruction based on the set-up of the other’s pens, haha.

You can swap any sort of possessions, if possible. You can also plant poops of one’s into the other on a regular basis.

I sadly have had the same experience as Alexmack2016: My bun dtopped eating one day, I took him to the vet right away, the vet that was their “best” rabbit vet took a look at my bun’s teeth with an oroscope and said the teeth were fine. We were prescribed Critical Care by syringe, nothing else.

They need about a month to heal and get over their hormones (you can do pre bonding during that time, stunt doubles, switching cages etc). After that, I would treat them like a brand new pair and go through the bonding process as if they don’t know each other, nice and slow.

I swapped the rabbits and I don’t think I will again. In my female bunnies and I don’t put fleece down, and she does not slip ( her paws are not really furry) but my male rabbits paws are super furry.
