Some bunnies are just very vocal. He could be grunting or honking. Neither is exclusively a “bad” sound. Some bunnies just make noises when they are very excited? Is he neutered?

If he’s young, he is probably just confused by this large figure standing over him. You should just go about your business. Walk slowly around him and talk to him softly. Then you can try crouching down to get to his level. Offer a treat or pets. He will eventually get used the towering human.

    Hi,

So I just want some advice please. I’ve had my little rabbit for about a month and a half now and he’s a very happy bun.

He loves to jump on me, play with me and lick me when I’m laying down, however, as soon as I stand up it’s like he doesn’t recognise me and is absolutely petrified of me.

What can I do to gain his trust when stood up?

    Thanks

also my rabbits which are males will be getting neutered at the end of the month. Any suggestions on how to bond them after?

    Hello!

I always took grunting noises as a “I’m not happy” sound, but my male rabbit who is a little over half a year old began to make these grunting noises while running around our living room. He “binkies” non stop while running and making these grunting noises, so I guess that means they are happy noises!

I’d like to get some confirmatio…[Read more]

Wow. Thank you for telling me about this product. I will have to do some research and make sure this is safe for rabbits. I can barely leave my room for weeks right now.

I’d be too scared to give her grass due to RHDV (the rabbit hemorrhagic disease viruses.) I believe there are outbreaks in my area, and there are tons of stray animals around…[Read more]

Hey guys, sorry for my late reply. @LBJ10: Surprisingly, the oxbow treats all gave her tummy issues (milky urine, etc.). She does however LOVE the oxbow urinary support tabs. That is her daily “treat”, she gets half a tab (on vet recommendation), and loves them 🙂 That is the one treaty food I’ve found that doesn’t give her problems, and she loves…[Read more]

Intermittent soft cecotropes is caused by a slight imbalance of the microbiota of the cecum. There’s an intricate and not yet fully understood interplay between a whole host of various bacteria and yeasts. ISC is not life-threatening, and not an emergency, as long as there are normal-ish poops as well as sticky poop. Here’s an article on…[Read more]

Oh my, the love of a bunny… So warm… and rather smelly… oh dear god what did you just do!?!

Yeah, Owen peed on me in bed tonight at 5:30 in the morning. I hope I didn’t wake the neighbours, because I was swearing his ears off 🤬

He’s fully free-roam at night, and normally it’s just cozy when he drops by for a visit. It doesn’t really break…[Read more]

I had a bit of a worrying bunny moment today. My male bunny was out getting his exercise and there is a window that leads another room of the flat. its like a kinda side window, its hard to explain but anyway my bunny jumped up onto a big pot then ran up the wall and tried to enter the window but failed, he fell on his head. He was startled for a…[Read more]

Her diarrhea has stopped for now and she is pooping normal again. She seems to go through phases of it. Shes my most active bunny so I don’t think she is ill although saying that it can be very hard to tell when a bunny is not feeling well as they can’t talk lol but from my observations today she seems to be very happy and lively.

It’s great you are meeting with your vet!  I would ask them to give you metacam and some sub-q fluids in case you need them, and definitely bring critical care (or another recovery food) in case you need to syringe feed. You vet will be able to advise you on how to give fluids and when you should give meds or syringe feed.

    I drove cross country…[Read more]

Me and my partner will be moving to another country next fall. We’re taking our bunny, who turned 1 a while ago, with us but we’re worried since she’s a very anxious bunny and she’s been prone to stasis ever since she was a baby. The journey is about 14 hours long. A 3 hour drive to the airport then some time there and a 3 hour flight. Then a 5…[Read more]

    Just a quick update here.

Bun had a string of not great days and we were getting very worried, but we got him seen by a new vet who is SO MUCH better. We gave him a sanitary shave and adjusted his pain meds (increased metacam dosage and going to add in Tramadol, but that will arrive in a couple days), and we’re going to see how he does with that.…[Read more]

I think this is mostly repeating info from your other thread, but in case this didn’t get shared I also found this video really helpful:

Another thing to do is to track good days and bad days, because it can be hard to tell the balance when you are in it.

I’m sorry you’re having this problem! It seems it’s about old plumbing. If that’s not seen too (which is extremely expensive and involves the whole building), they can renovate the kitchen all they want, it wont take care of the problem.

I dont think home insurance will cover water damage if you do indoors plumbing yourself and something goes…[Read more]
