Awwww a Dutch! I love dutchies! 😀 The pics came through fine!

And yes so true about never really knowing how long we’ve got with anything or any bun. <3

He’s doing OK…? the newest issue is he had a bulging eye. I was concerned about eye pressure so I took him into the vet. Turns out his eye pressure was low due to inflammation of the eye tissue itself. So he was prescribed an eye drop and she wants to re-check in a month. It didn’t seem to be bothering him so that was good?  Other than that…[Read more]

He had pretty invasive surgery, and it can take time for the internal stuff to heal. I would personally feel safest waiting until he is cleared for full exercise, just in case a scuffle breaks out in the reintroduction. But you could do pre-bonding side swaps now if you wanted!

Glad you sorted out the litter issues! Yes it can take some time for them to really come out and explore, it’s good they feel safe in their cage. 🙂 Adding some hides around the room and giving them a chance to explore when it’s calm, quiet, and dimly lit will also encourage exploring.

I have used NIC cubes attached to the baby gate to reinforce…[Read more]

I agree, I think he will be just fine with the moving (including the temp situation). It can help to keep smells familiar, so don’t clean his litter box the day you move so the new place smells a bit more like him.

I went and got a litter box from the petshop. It is deep and has high sides too and she is digging and making all the mess she wants inside without it coming out,, so far so good 😁

So, I decided to smell her to try figure out what it was and it smelt like air freshener. I cleaned her with a damp cloth and her fur looks normal now. I think she may have gotten under it whilst somebody sprayed but I did ask them to be more careful next time to make sure she’s not nearby. 😬

Thank you! I figured out what was causing my rabbit to pee outside his litter box.

I tried something new . I had a corner litter box then their original litter box. I eliminated the hay bin because I was trying to avoid hay getting on my floor. So I put hay in the litter box and when my bunny would eat it his but was facing out of the litter…[Read more]

Hello, this is Milo’s mama again. I currently live in an apartment that is far from ideal; people are up and blasting music at all times of the day almost, and even though milo seems to be at least somewhat used to it, it makes me anxious that he’s going to get sick eventually and I’ve decided to move out. The only issue is that the new apart…[Read more]

If someone has pet her with, like, freshly applied lotion on their hands, it could result in temporarily greasy fur. She’d be eager to groom it off in the areas she can reach though. The areas they cant reach to groom are the nape of the neck/between the shoulderblades, plus a spot right above the tail.

Dull unkempt fur does signify that…[Read more]

i’m not sure if it’s got to do with grooming as she grooms herself whenever she gets the chance and watch her do it several times a day

i checked the humidity , it’s at 77% right now but it is normally around that or higher but i never noticed a difference in her fur.

It’s greasy on her back and a bit on top of her head by her ears. I looked under it but it looks normal and not greasy? it’s just the top

Ah I still don’t really know how to insert photos and videos on here after five years 😂 Hopefully those send, I’ve got so many already. I’ll try to add a video of Eclipse binkying as well after gleefully eating my hair like its spaghetti 🤦‍♂️

Miu has been hanging outside Dorian’s enclosure, occasionally rattling the bars. Dorian’s not really showing much interest in getting out, but he does watch her intently and seems happier when she’s close.  They are mirroring each other quite a bit.

The vet wanted them separate until his next vet visit (Feb 5th), but that seems so long. He is…[Read more]

OK cool, good to know!  Thanks so much for sharing this.  (We haven’t noticed any sedative or other side effects for Teddy, thankfully.)

    How is Bun doing?

I also am curious about where, as the grease may be a consequence of something else going on potentially, such as inability to groom, not keeping up with grooming, etc..
