LBJ10 replied to the topic Leaking eye and prescription given by vet in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 9 months ago
I have used steroid eye drops before, but it was for inflammation… not an infection. Steroids should be used with caution in rabbits. However, topical steroids (ointments, eye drops, etc.) are less “bad” than oral steroids. So I would say that it may not have been totally inappropriate to prescribe the eye drops. If the vet felt there was…[Read more]

@Bam is she a velvet, she looks so soft! Fast healing to her.
Boo and Walter are like two little cotton balls!
Glen and Walter are too cute, love the lionhead manes. Hope the bonding goes well!
I’ll have to try the treats thing you suggested for lap buns Ellie. Dorian does come up every now and again but he never settles, he may occasionally…[Read more]

How is your bunny doing now? Were you able to get her to a vet?

Aww look at them 🙂
I usually do 48 hours in neutral with plenty of positive behaviors and no aggression. In my experience they will seem to “click” when bonded and you will notice they are just really relaxed around each other. If they seem tense, they prob more time. That said, if you can keep supervising consistently you could try them after…[Read more]

Yes, I was thinking the same thing with getting to daily sessions. I think after Sunday I should be good, and hope they are doing well enough for a marathon by Thursday or Friday. Is it 24 hours in neutral without intervening that I can move them to semi neutral? I have a large area in my living blocked off that I’ve been using for them to play…[Read more]

I can relate to a lot of these obsessive bunny syndrome symptoms! My entire phone is filled with pictures and videos, check on them all the time, always wondering what they are thinking and worried if they are happy… etc etc..
I’m sorry to hear about those having issues with the landlords. That would be so stressful for me. It really sucks…[Read more]

My baby girl was spayed last Tuesday. Here’s a picture of her when she came back home. 2 hours later, she decided to jump over a 3 foot compost grid that Id put up to deter her from jumping into my bed 😖

The first thing she ate was a dried goji berry.

Gotcha! You also might try to do some sort of session every day, even if it’s short (like 10 minutes). I think some sort of interaction daily will help, even if you only have time for longer sessions on the weekends.

Bonding is so stressful! I always start out thinking it will be so calm and it never is LOL. I have been told it’s easier when they aren’t your bunnies though.
Keep us posted on how it goes, I do think with just some time and patience they will sort things out. There is definitely a balance with how much to pet. I like to pet lots in the early…[Read more]

Just. a thought but have you tried hock socks? One of my little guys is constantly messing up his hocks he is a grumpy thumper. So I put the cream on his footies and have him wear these booties throughout the day. Here is a link to them if your interested

Hey I actually posted this in another thread but you could give hock socks a shot and they keep your little one from licking off the cream.
If you search OneTwoHop on Etsy you can find some there. I will also put a link below. Maybe this will help!
