I am so sorry to hear about your dear Sarafina. I recently found two small lumps on my bun and am concerned. Will you please share updates on your journey through this? How did you find the growths? what did they feel like? How much did it cost to get them removed? Let me know if CBD oil works. I really, really hope the cancer did not spread for…[Read more]

DanaNM replied to the topic Two Really Itchy Bunnies – Advantage II ok?? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 4 months ago
I agree with LBJ10, you should get a diagnosis and proper dosage from the vet, especially with their age. These solution vary in concentration and tube size, so the first time it’s best to have a vet give you the dosage. Advantage II does not treat mites, you may get prescribed Revolution.
Also just in case you aren’t aware, never use any product…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic Cheaper bunny litter? in the forum DIET & CARE 4 years, 4 months ago
Yesterday’s News is fine to use. It can be a little pricey. So yes, if you can get cheap pine pellet litter, then go for it. The litter is kiln-dried, so it’s safe to use.

If it’s fresh, then it should be fine. Just verify what it is. As others said, you want to avoid alfalfa.

I buy all of my hay by the bale from fodder stores similar to tractor supply. It’s so much cheaper, as mentioned just avoid alfalfa hay and feed a grass hay. 😁

Depends on the type of mites. Advantage is ineffective with fur mites, for example. You should probably get a proper diagnosis before trying to treat them at home.

Awww, yes it’s nerve-wracking when your bunny is ill. And as Dana said: you’re definitely not the only one who can’t relax if your rabbit is ill or has eaten something wrong.
I’ve often been up until dawn with my bridge bunny Breintje, who was a bunny with a finicky stomach. I knew that his gas problem would resolve itself if I gave him his meds…[Read more]

Chewy also has a huge bale of tightly compressed hay for $30.
It’s Bermuda grass, just got some. Crew seems to like it, it smells great.
