Last time we did 48 hours straight one the neutral before I moved them into their forever space.
Today is the longest we’ve gone this time and we are at about 4 hours and I’m gonna probably keep going as long as there is good behaviour until tomorrow night, as I work on Monday morning and will need to get a good night’s sleep.
They have been…[Read more]

How long can they last in neutral? Have you tried 24hrs in neutral?
Honestly if they are only now 6mo, they were both spayed quite young, so even if physically there may not be a source of those pesky hormones (assuming successful spays; when they’re done early, sometimes things are missed, as I’ve been told) they are young so it may just take a…[Read more]

Sorry it’s a long one, I just want to make sure I include any info needed.
I got two female rabbits in January of this year. I was I’ll informed about the needs of rabbits and the need to bond them at the time I got them or I probably wouldn’t have gotten both at the same time.
They are about 6 months old now and are sisters from the same…[Read more]

Hi,
I feel like a broken record. Kotton has been in this hole of gut slowdown for over a month. She has been going back and forth to the vet to get IV treatment, we have been giving her reglan and simenthicone on and off to get her to start pooping properly. We have been giving her critical care from time to time to prevent a full-on stasis. I…[Read more]

There is an antiparasitic called Vectra 3D that contains permethrin. It isnt considered completely rabbit safe, but a good vet should be able to calculate an appropriate dose. It is used to deter insects from rabbits, which is important where there are very deadly insect-born rabbit diseases but no vaccine available. It is also very toxic to…[Read more]

It has always been given by the vets and dosage as per his weight.
I am fully aware of the dosage and importance of reaching out to only rabbit savvy vets. Apologies if my words created confusion.

Thank you all! The hay only in litter box will not be really possible cause she has like multiple places with hay to eat all around my flat 😆

I agree with Glenn about their ability to smell their home territory, the intensity of mounting points to that!
I think waiting till you can go back outside is a good plan, as is checking in with the person with the rescue to see if she can help out.

You could also try diluting the vinegar, 50/50 is a bit strong. I would drop it to 10% vinegar (or even just water) and see if that helps!

Many of my buns see the “litter box” as where-ever there is hay, so giving hay outside of a box can be a bit confusing to them. An easy solution is to keep all her hay in the litter box. I put hay directly in my buns’ boxes, and then hang a rack that they can only get to from inside the box so they have to jump in to eat it.

As long as you’re cleaning the litterbox at an appropriate frequency and keeping things dry, including your rabbits, no.

When you say YOU have tried these injections, does that mean you have been trying to treat this at home without guidance, dosing, and medication course instructions by a rabbit-savvy vet? Accurate diagnosis and proper medication course guidance is crucial.
Also, if you’re not cleaning the environment, your rabbit will continue to get reinfected.
