My rabbit is 2year old and sinve birth he has scabies..which def was transferred from his mother.

I m feeling really helpless,I have tried selamectin and plenty of ivermectin injections.

But nothing seems to help him..its getting worse day by day ..i keep him and his area super clean in hope this might help…but all in vain.

Please help suggesting if anyone of you have got any other solution other than ivermectin and selamectin.

        Thanks all in advance.

When you say YOU have tried these injections, does that mean you have been trying to treat this at home without guidance, dosing, and medication course instructions by a rabbit-savvy vet? Accurate diagnosis and proper medication course guidance is crucial.

Also, if you’re not cleaning the environment, your rabbit will continue to get reinfected.

It has always been given by the vets and dosage as per his weight.

I am fully aware of the dosage and importance of reaching out to only rabbit savvy vets. Apologies if my words created confusion.

His Living area ,clothing everything is changed entirely and cleaned thoroughly.

He has even travelled with me and stayed at different cities as well.

Is there anything else i could give/apply to get rid of his mites completely

The vets are still saying Only ivermectin/selamectin is the Only treatment. I will not be giving up om treatment..hence trying to find help as much as possible from all help group

There is an antiparasitic called Vectra 3D that contains permethrin. It isnt considered completely rabbit safe, but a good vet should be able to calculate an appropriate dose. It is used to deter insects from rabbits, which is important where there are very deadly insect-born rabbit diseases but no vaccine available. It is also very toxic to mites. I have used permethrin once on a rabbit that had fur mites (cheyletiella mites). It’s a spot-on treatment.

Moxidectin can also be used on rabbits. It’s an ivermectin-type antiparasitic.

(And here is the warning we always give when discussing antiparasitics for rabbits: Don’t use any compound containing fipronil on a rabbit. It can be deadly toxic to them. It’s great for cats and dogs, but not rabbits. End of warning!)

Is it true scabies (sarcoptic mange) that your bun is suffering from?

If this is actually scabies/sarcoptic mange, then it will be difficult to treat. The most effective treatments are not safe for rabbits. As Bam suggested, Moxidectin can be used. So far, it seems to be safe since it’s in the same family of anti-parasitics.
