They didn’t do a dental x-ray. They keep saying nothing look out of place. Should I request for one? The thing is, Kotton can eat stalks, she just only eats alfafa stalks, and once in awhile (though she used to love oat hay) an oat stalk. She still likes the very hard oat pieces in oat hay. And when her appetite is there, she eats pellets ok but…[Read more]

LBJ10 – What would usually be the routine for long stasis recovery? I read from another thread in this forum long time ago, that bun requires long term meds cocktails and critical care to get better but would need to be very slowly wane off the meds. Our Vet does not like us to use meds if possible, and told us to intervene only when necessary…[Read more]

Oh, Im really sorry for the loss of your dog. Losing any pet is hard but when it’s your first, it can be heartbreaking.
The bunny is looking great and appears to be still allowing you to interact but sounds like she has good dose of sassiness. Typical for a lot of rabbits!
im actually seeing more of the Rex you initially thought she might be…[Read more]

Suprise suprise! He has a tinie tiny little spur, the vet initially didn’t think it was a concern because there was no lesions but I took him in again today as his hay eating was still not where it should be and I noticed hes more active on pain meds.
We done a very thorough dental exam that revealed the small spur was putting a little pressure…[Read more]

I’m glad to hear he’s eating better!
As for the arm sticking out, could he have dislocated his shoulder? You could try to gently gently near the arm to his side while he is sitting still. Stabilize the shoulderblade with your other fingers at the same time -ever so gently, of course. If its a dislocated shoulder, this could help reposition it. Be…[Read more]

They are 2 does and are approxiamately 4 months old now, and no not neutered. They have since been absolutely perfect with each other, lying flat out asleep, back legs out and head on top of each other day in day out so I’m hoping this was just a quibble.

Hi there! So the good news is Teddy’s still been eating quite well (if anything, more robustly than he had been before this issue started). But unfortunately he’s still having significant challenges with his legs, and we’re going to bring him to the vet soon. (We have an appointment for Thursday evening, but are going to call and see if th…[Read more]

How is Bun Jovi doing? I’m sorry I missed this thread earlier. Teddy is about to go to the vet too and I’m grateful we can compare notes. I hope Bun Jovi is doing OK, and am sending you both hugs!

Hi, I just recently got two bunny brothers. I’m trying my best to make sure they stay healthy but I was wondering if anyone has a picture of a hunched bunny in pain?? I searched up on google but it gave me a lot of different pictures of bunnies some not even sitting so I was hoping that maybe someone on here had a picture. Please help, I re…[Read more]

Hello bunny lovers family, I’m having a hard time in my heart right now. My 7 year old girl had a toe injury in April which turned into an infection. Long story short, she ended up getting an amputation removing her foot up to her thigh. The night she came home from surgery she had thick white mucous around her nose I have never seen before-we…[Read more]

She told me to keep her hydrated and give her more greens. She’s getting her energy back now and running for pellets 🙂 I was so scared and crying for 3 days like crazy because this was her first illness, but I’m so relieved now that she’s acting normal and chill

I seriously feel your pain! I have a constant ball of anxiety in my tummy for my buns real and imagined health problems, it seems to be one thing after another. I have a Netherland dwarf who eats a decent amount of hay but drinks loads of water and has terrible teeth.
Any update on the teeth? Hope you got some answers.
