Bam replied to the topic Home laser therapy for arthritic buns? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 4 years, 1 month ago
I read the link, and the machine they’re talking about isnt really cold laser, it’s infrared light.
My mum is a physiotherapist and has treated many patients incl dogs with cold laser. I asked her about infrared light therapy. She says it’s a waste of money.
Good cold laser machines are very, very expensive.

I dont think he is wild, but I dont think he looks like a Nethie either.
Wild rabbits are a lot more skittish than domesticated rabbits. They’re very difficult to handle because of this.

I got him from a fodder store. The lady at the store said someone dropped him and his brother off. He looked like he had been neglected as his feet and bottom were badly matted. The person that dropped him at the store said he was 6 months old and a dwarf Netherland bunny. We took him in to care for him but I’m worried that he might be w…[Read more]

Hooray — that’s wonderful! 😀 Flopping is a terrific sign. As they say, pain management is such an important part of overcoming stasis. Way to go! 🙂

So I plan to be visiting a family members house for two weeks and of course Winston will be coming along! The family member has a dog and I was wondering should I let the two interact? If so how would I introduce the two? The dog is very shy and pretty small and if anything she will be afraid of Winston. Would it be best to keep them separate or…[Read more]

Yay, well done Blossom! 🥳 Rabbits are creatures of habit, so I hope that the reward will lead to a new better habit for her 🙂
Molly’s getting a little too confident here: she actually started to spray urine… 😑 I really hope that she stops when Owen gets better.

I use a squeegee on vet beds and rugs before washing them. I also tumble dry them for like 5 minutes before putting them in the washer so most of the debris get caught in the dryer filter. This is perhaps not a good idea for your type of dryer, but it works with mine.

Thank you again everyone. The infection continued to spread in her body, going towards her good leg, throughout her privates. Throughout this whole time her spirit was strong but I knew she was uncomfortable-the infected parts were hard and her fur was slothing off, she was very tolerant of me helping her bath her bottom. She kept strong still…[Read more]

I’m not sure if this would damage the sheepette but maybe you could try using a dustpan brush and/or a squeegee to remove some of that hay and fur gunk before it goes in the washer. Worked well with my blankets but I’ve never used sheepette. I would first shake it out then brush off the big pieces of hay then squeegee off the dust and fur. Als…[Read more]

So great that he’s doing so much better! It is a good sign if he starts eating more with more pain meds, it’s so important that he starts eating so things get going again.
