He was eating some pellets, but quite slowly. I soaked some pellets in water, and these are going down quickly now. If he doesn’t perk up during the weekend, he’s going for a dental exam.

My bunny has been pretty gassy lately. She’s been eating and pooping however I can hear gurgling in her stomach and she grinds her teeth. She is on meloxicam and gabapentin so I was wondering if mylicon gas drops would be safe for her. I used to give her the ovol gas drops but I want to be able to get it in store so I can help her asap. The i…[Read more]

Hi 🙂
Thanks for advice which I followed, since she really seemed to be recovered (for now) we have only done a few bonding sessions in a cleaned semi neutral area, again the same but Frida seems to be approaching Tila more, but still running when its visca versa. Unfortunately I think she is always going to be backwards and forwards to the vets…[Read more]

Yes, it’s awesome! If only she could do it without spraying everywhere… 🙄
I could have told her that she’s important and loved at any time. But she feels like she’s top bunny now 😄

Oh Molly, my girl, I can’t tell you how proud I am of you. I can only keep petting you, thank you for your trust 🥲 🥰
She was the most timid little thing when we got her: even taking a raisin from your hand was scary for her. Slowly we could get closer, and she’d lick our hands and faces but she was uncomfortable with being petted back.
Slowly we…[Read more]

Our current pair are spayed and are bonded. We say they aren’t well matched in terms of personality, one really likes to explore and its adventurous while the other likes to rearrange housing and its more chilled.
We thought that introducing more bunnies may give them both another bunmy that has a similar personality

Awesome!
It’s funny, but larger breeds get their puberty and growth spurt later. Our Netherland Dwarf mix boy was already fully hormonal at 11 weeks old and got neutered at 13 weeks. Some larger breeds may not get their puberty until they’re 6-9 months old. For boys it’s pretty much: as soon as they’re hanging they’re good to come off.
It’s good…[Read more]

We have a dwarf lop that is 3 months and is about the size of him so we were actually worried that he might be smaller then he should for 6 months.
we have him booked in for next Friday for a checkup, desexing and vaccinations. He bonded pretty much straight away with our female dwarf lop but we’re having to keep them separate until he’s been des…[Read more]

Yes, the chances for cancer in unspayed females are high, very high. It’s estimated at >50% by age 4. I’d discuss it with a rabbit savvy vet to see what’s their take on it.

It really varies per bunny how sensitive their tummies are. My boyfriend’s first bunny Waffie was very robust, and his second bunny Breintje had a very fussy digestive system. There’s not one perfect solution, it’s going to take some experimenting to see what helps.
I like the tips about the vegetables and fennel, fennel is indeed a wonderful…[Read more]

Thank you, that touches my heart. We’re still struggling on figuring out what went wrong. Amputation on 4/20, checked her every night when helping her clean, healed beautifully, then all of sudden late May, on one of her nightly bottom check we felt hard flesh (but no opening) on amp site, same hard flesh on the leg that was amputated and it spread fast.
