The faces smushed together is too cute!!

Freya is a hardcore flopper and I finally managed to get a decent pic of it! Most of the time i can’t get to my phone because I’m holding her bum or legs to stop her from falling off the sofa :’)

I will most definitely be bothering @DanaNM with bonding advice but thanks for documenting Dorian and Miu’s journey in so much detail! I read through your bonding journal other night so I’ve already had a few questions answered by that post and I’m about 5 days into prebonding so wish me luck!!!

Baking treats in silicone is fine. But yes, probably not a good idea to let them chew on the molds themselves. Bunnies like remote control buttons, so I’m sure a silicone mold would be tasty to them as well!

It sounds like it could be an injury to her mouth. Hopefully it’s just soft tissue and she didn’t break a tooth when she fell.

Does she have a cylindrical shaped body? That is very characteristic of Himalayan bunnies. They have the same gene as the Californian breed to give them those cold sensitive markings, but they are smaller.

Yes I agree, many people have informed me about the accuracy of the tests and my vet knows as well. Does he have the pain reaction when he’s biting down? Or swallowing? I wonder if it’s something that’s hard to pick up on an x-ray, like a crack in a molar.

I’m late to this. What your describing does sound like EC. Cataracts is another symptom and it a really bad cataract can cause distortion of the eyeball and weeping as well. Another update: ct results didnt show large abnormalities in the brain nor spinal cord. However there is evidence of arthritis in her mouth and lower back and she might have some dental disease (suspected as she’s an avid hay eater but then she only started eating as a few bites while pooping) I’m not really sure why it happened but they’ll have…[Read more]

Right, unfortunate update. Apollo is on about day 43 of 60 of his antibiotics. I’ve been feeding pellets in decreasing intervals, he’s been fine every time until last night when he had a clear pain reaction, stopped chewing and dropped some pellets from his mouth. Yes I rang my vet last week but she said they didn’t  have a time frame on when they would receive the vax so couldn’t even have a waiting list yet.

Fingers so crossed this will help long term! Its obviously much nicer for her to be calm and appreciate cuddles 💗
