No, that’s pretty much all I know.

So to update, I reached out to my probable place of quarantine for my rabbit in England. They have been more than helpful. They are going to put me in touch with someone who is planning to use a pet shipping service for their rabbit from JFK to LHR so I can look into the same shipping company. It’s the only way to go. They pretty much take care of…[Read more]

Awww they look great! Amazing! I love when they just “click” like that. 🙂
So, what you could do is do a couple more long sessions (including overnights ideally), and if those go well then you could move them in together but keep them in their neutral space. Then they could be unsupervised there for a couple days. Then you can test the waters and…[Read more]

Yeah this is how it is with my cat and my bun Cooper. I have several “no bun zones” for my cat to escape to when he’s had enough of the buns.

So, are you 100% sure he’s neutered? It’s also possible for there to be “incomplete neuters”, where just a few cells are left behind, and it’s enough to cause some hormonal marking. Just asking because the scattered pellets and pee all over look like hormonal behavior to me. But I’m glad to see it’s improved a bit!
I agree with the suggestion for…[Read more]

I agree there is something wrong. It sounds like the rabbit is around 4 years old? If the rabbit is unspayed it could be cancer. Do you know what types of diagnostics were done? Blood work, imaging, etc?

The screens in the BB store are great! Or you can use plastic knitting mesh as a DIY option, but some bunnies will chew on them.

Something is wrong if a rabbit loses weight that rapidly. Especially if the bun is eating and drinking normally. How old is the bun? Is the bun spayed/neutered?

As LBJ says, these things happen. And pretty much the only thing you can do is to check *by palpation) her legs and paws and front teeth, then observe. Observe gait, energy level, body stance, appetite and poop. If she stops eating/pooping, contact a vet and inform them of this accident.
The majority of buns that have these types of accidents…[Read more]

Is there an alternative to the 48hrs in neutral to cement?
So here is the reasoning behind that seemingly obscene question lol! They seem pretty much bonded! See below for details. However, I don’t have a 48hrs together for 3 weeks! It seems almost cruel to keep seperating them every night and day for. The planned bonding time line went way out…[Read more]

It could have been stress or it could have been a coincidence, it’s hard to say. I understand not wanting to have something like that happen right after you get there and you’re trying to start classes. I do like some of the suggestions on this thread, like trying to find a quieter place. And if you can find a place that is a little more rabbit…[Read more]

For as fragile as they are, bunnies sure are springy sometimes. If she is acting normal, eating, etc. then she is probably fine. You should examine her limbs to make sure everything looks/feels normal. Keep an eye out for any limp or favoring of a leg. Check her eyes to make sure they pupils are the same. Also check her mouth because sometimes…[Read more]

Daisy fell out of her carrier. I had gotten a new carrier for her and wanted to test it with her. I went to the couch to open it and take her out. I unzipped one side and before I could put it on the couch, Daisy jumped or fell on the floor. She fell from about 2-3 feet onto carpet. I didn’t see her fall but I did see her land. On her stomach with…[Read more]
