Hey everyone. I’ve been looking online for information regarding whether or not rabbits can catch Covid from people. Most of the information that I’ve found says that while rabbits can technically become infected with Covid, they will not show any symptoms of it and cannot get sick or die from it. Does anybody know if this is true? Has anybody had…[Read more]

Unsure of all the litters offered by SPS, but SPS has a pine pellet litter as well that, in my experience, is identical to the Tractor Supply Co pine pellet litter many people use. SPS’ version is more expensive and seems to more reliably not smell like wood (i.e., scentless).

Adora-babies! It’s just so cute seeing them together like that. Your face must ache from smiling so much. 😉
Hallelujah for one habitat shared time out.

Is it just hay/fur/poop on the blankets or are they peeing on them? Just curious as to why your Dad is throwing them away. He doesn’t want all that to go in the wash? (I can understand that and use an old washing machine for my pet towels and blankets)
I’ve come to like fleece blankets that have a more “velvet” like look to them. They are still t…[Read more]

Unfortunately, dental abscesses in rabbit (particularly in lower jaw) can often be an ongoing battle. I do think you’re in a better position for success now that problematic teeth have been removed.
The antibiotic beads were not available here in Australia back when I was dealing with dental abscesses (2012). It may have been bicillin s…[Read more]

I am still looking for alternatives myself, I tried oxbow which wasn’t bad, but breaks down a lot more and didn’t quite last as long. Small pet select is slightly better but they like to toss them about, or they just don’t have the weight? Not sure, but ends up knocked out of the box. May check out Fresh News, also curious as to the pine pellets.

Today is Apollo and Luna’s 6th adoption anniversary! Hooray! 😀 I’m going to dig through their toy drawers to pull out some different toys (I’m sure there’s some in there that are still brand new) and they’ll get some treats and a special salad 🙂

Can you take the fleece blankets outside and wave them around for a bit to get the clumps off?
Alternatively, you could find an easier, less hay-sticking flooring/fabric for areas with more hay traffic.
… I just pick up hay every day because I’m a crazy rabbit lady.

So this is going to sound like a weird request. How can I clean my rabbits enclosures without using a broom and vacuum? I tried using a broom and dustpan but it didn’t work out too well. My dad said that the hay will clutter in the vacuum no matter what I say. And he refuses to try a new vacuum and he throws away the fleece blankets. We don’t have…[Read more]

Not big news but I gave Blossom and Thumper a bit of peach yesterday (skinned and no pit) with their pellets and that was the first thing they ate and I think they kept looking for more, and their poops have been normal. Another treat success!

It sounds like he had an episode of gas that caused some gut slow down, but the fact that he’s running around and tucking into his hay is a great sign. It sounds like the episode has passed, so as long as he’s eating his poops should get bigger.
I would keep an eye on him and make sure things continue to improve, the poops should get bigger in a…[Read more]

Hi everyone, my bunny Seal had some tummy issues last night and it was 1:40 AM when i gave him his last dose of baby gas medicine. At 4 am i woke up to check up on him and he was still in his hidey box like when i left him. This morning at 7:30 he was out of his box and running around. He has been eating hay non stop but I’ve noticed his poops a…[Read more]

Yes, x-ray done before the last surgery.
very sad to see dental abscesses come back again. It took 2 months for him to recover from the last surgery, now he may need to go through it again. :<
