Haha! I think it has been dry everywhere. It’s ridiculous how little rain we have gotten this summer. Oh well, hopefully the dry weather will toughen up the tree we planted.

Oh good! Hopefully that does the trick. It worked miracles for me.

@LBJ10 my BB liter screen comes Saturday and let me tell you it can’t come fast enough. Luna has just been digging the heck out of her litter box. Hay and carefresh everywhere…..all mixed together.  Lol

For pets – Yes, I think ignoring and building trust is a good approach. Then asking for permission to pet. This way she thinks it’s her idea.

Our heat wave in PNW finally broke, and couldn’t be happier! I have a random bolete growing in my front garden which is a bit of a mystery (it’s been dry and hot, so it’s dried out already), but am wishing it was chanterelles! 😋

Agreed, my understanding is that no fabric is safe if large amounts are ingested. One risk I heard with using cotton fabrics was that a loop of thread could get caught on the bun’s mouth, vs. fleece which wouldn’t have threads like that as entanglement risks.

Instead of a box, I modified some toilet paper roll holders and I use those as hay racks.

Try a rubber broom! They have hand held ones that work great for removing hay and fur from blankets (they blankets need to be under some tension though). I also agree that shaking them outside will remove most almost all of the hay.

Summer has been much drier than usual but we got a bit of rain recently which is good. Apparently Tom and I brought the CA drought to New England 🙄
