I think that is a wise move. If it had persisted, it would of course have been totally different. Should it return and not clear up, you can always get a new appointment. Since you are a highly concientious pet owner, you’ll routinely  keep a close eye.

It’s just lovely that it cleared up 😊

Update, we canceled Thumper’s vet appointment. His face has cleared completely and he’s still being his normal self and I also got sick (sinus infection) and with being sick the vet won’t let me in even with a mask (which I always wear), my mom also convinced me that it’d be a waste of money to get him checked since he’s doing really well and…[Read more]

It does kind of look like a scab from a vaccine. But they haven’t gotten any shots recently, then I agree it could be from mounting.

They’re still at a ‘strict supervision’ stage with their bonding so I’ve never left them alone together so I’m almost positive it wasn’t him – even if their pens managed to get too close to one another, he could never reach that part of her body through the bars?

she hasn’t had any shots recently no but I guess I’m just concerned if there’s anyt…[Read more]

It is an area bunny will hold with their teeth if mounting another. Has Tybalt tried to do that?

The area doesn’t look too bad and with new fur growing already it appears to be healing.

By chance, has she had any shots recently?

I feel like Freya’s had a real string of bad luck lately. No matter how close an eye I keep on her she seems to always hurt herself somehow and I feel so bad. Just as I was petting her goodnight now I noticed something hard at the bottom of her shoulder blade and there’s like a weird scab there. She has a teeensy patch of fur missing on her nos…[Read more]

Well, my bun doesn’t get any veggies or fresh things as advices because she has such a sensitive tummy. We feed her Timothy hay mostly, then I buy different kinds of hay so she could have varieties, small amount of pellets and probiotics everyday.

It was very hot yesterday that’s true. Her poops was perfect but last two days it were all different…[Read more]

I’m glad there was an exotics vet attending. That was very fortunate!

You know, I’m reminded now of Maple, my rabbit that developed head-tilt. It was never truly established what the cause was (or ear infection, ec) but we treated for ec regardless. I remember the vet talking about brain lesions and about how they can heal.

    We treated for pos…[Read more]

    Aww! Happy gotcha Snoa!

No… no hedgehogs here. I wish! We have flying squirrels though. I want to hug them!

Her incisors don’t look overgrown to me. At least not in this picture. If your bunny hasn’t eaten since you posted this, then she needs to see a vet ASAP.

Such a lovely photo, I bet it was magical in person. I love the hedgehogs! I remember them from growing up and putting milk out for them (no idea if that was good for them in retrospect). None in the US. We do have raccoons and coyotes where I live in the PNW, and lots of birds of prey. Even had some coyote cubs near us, so cute watching them…[Read more]

Change of hay or addition of hay can cause the bun to eat a little more hay or a little less. Activity level also plays a role. Activity level is often dependent on temperature, buns tend to be less active if its warm.

As long as there is a good amount of poop and her appetite is good, I dont think you need to worry. I see variation in poop size…[Read more]

Hello, my bun had perfect poops. What does it mean if they are all different sizes sometimes? Like she goes from the same size to different sizes some days and her diet doesn’t really change. She gets more types of hay and pellets that’s it. Why could it be like that?

My bun can’t have veggies at all. She has very sensitive stomach so her diet consist of hay, pellets and some dried herbs and flowers. She is a happy bunny.
