If she’s biting the cage bars a lot at night it sometimes helps to hang a sheet or towel over the wall. Something about the visual barrier makes them less obsessed with it. You can also mount a grass or paper mat on the cage wall to give something “constructive” to chew. She will get used to the routine in time though!

True, I think in Budja’s case an open incision probably won’t go down to well, she is notoriously difficult, she tolerates me feeling around the area currently but not for long before she is popcorning on me or jumping, or trying to swat me. Now try vacuuming the floor a foot away from him while he sleeps. Haha!  (This was a common occurrence with my bun. That vacuum would be going and he would be sawing logs.)

Sorry for the late reply! I had a virus on my laptop and it couldn’t be fixed until recently. It’s more of a “home base”, unless it’s too hot or cold. Like I said they mostly play in the basement when the weather is just right.
