Aww! Look at her! She’s definitely growing. It’s understandable that she would be focusing on pellets right now. As long as she is eating some hay, then I think you will be OK later on down the road. She should make the transition naturally when it comes time to reduce her pellets.

Keeping things smelling the same can also help. If moving to a new area or changing the setup, don’t wash anything or change the litter box initially. That way, everything still smells like it’s her territory.

The new environment can definitely cause marking in even the most litterbox adherent rabbits, so overtime as it becomes less new and also as you can observe where she likes to go, you can make adjustments accordingly to increase litterbox adherence.

thanks. I will just wait until after his check up. I am going to just have his 1 month follow-up appointment be with his regular vet and she has no issues with Miu coming along. She actually has owned bunnies and understands bonded pairs. The emergency vet though I think very capable didn’t seem like they did, and were very opposed to her coming…[Read more]

Hmmm, how long ago did you move her to the new enclosure? A little marking is common when a bun moves to a new place or things get shuffled around, but usually it subsides in a couple weeks or so.

Aww little guys! It’s common for new moms to not be great at carrying for them, they are lucky to have you!

Hey! I saw this post as I was looking for information for my little guy. Did you ever find any resolution for you bun? Our bunny Louis has had almost the exact same thing happen to him recently and we (and his vet) are currently trying to find what the cause may be.
