Hello there! I have never owned/cared for a bunny before. I am fostering for Alaqua Animal Refuge in Freeport, FL . I have a few questions if that’s alright. First off, they stated that (lets call it She because that’s what they said) she was a girl. I will clip a photo, I think I see some testicular-like things on the underside of “her”. I only…[Read more]

I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t start helicoptering. Those ears look heavy!
I agree he is likely a mix. Maybe some Dutch in there.

I agree w/ getting a new one. For the future, I would only use older CC if it was the dried powder and stored in a freezer while not in use. This will elongate it’s life!

A few weeks ago I was stretching in bed and my foot popped and Blossom literally charged from the back of the x-pen to the front like she was gonna protect me from my foot! It was hilarious and I didn’t think our bond was that strong. I just remembered this and wanted to share. Hope everyone is staying cool (or warm in the winter countries)

Welcome to Binkybunny! What a cutie.
Virtually all pet rabbits are some type of mix. His face shape is very narrow, so I could see why people may say some Rex because they tend to have that more narrow face, but there are other breeds that do as well. I think he’s simply a mix with no real discernable traits at this time.
His ear size does…[Read more]

Welcome! Unfortunately I’m not well versed in rabbit breed so I’m just making a guess by saying maybe Dutch mix, again it’s just a guess but I can say he is 100% adorable!

If there is a room that he can have to himself, then I guess I don’t see what the issue is. Are you not allowed to let him out for roam time? You mentioned sneaking him into your bedroom.
My bunny has his own room. I let him out to play for several hours in the evenings. He seems happy with this arrangement. But I guess it also depends on how…[Read more]

OK, I was just curious since some bunnies can have an adverse reaction to ivermectin. I didn’t know what coloring these bunnies had though.
I’m sorry this happened. Something was obviously going on. As Bam explained, it is possible for a bunny to have an internal ear infection that isn’t easily detected.

Hello!
I have a 5yr old neutered bunny (Harry) that my parent’s have stopped letting free roam. Some backstory: I used to have two bunnies that were free-roamed before one of them passed away from G.I. Stasis. School had also started up again when she passed and Harry was not getting nearly as much attention as he used to. He did not take all…[Read more]

@LBJ I believe it was Selarid (selamectin). He has prescribed that for other buns in the past and it has worked well. It seems to have helped Churro quite a bit. They were treated at the same time, about 2 weeks before Bon passed away.
@Bam oh ok, that makes sense, thank you for explaining. 🙂

Not sure if this is the right place for my question. I hope so. I have been having some issues with Honeydew. I took her to the vet and she asked if I still have CC from the last time Honeydew was sick. I said that I do and she told me to feed it to her. The CC I have is from 2019 thus my question. How long is CC good for? Should I get a new…[Read more]

An ear infection in the outer ear can penetrate into the middle ear via the tympanic membrane. The middle ear is very close to the inner ear, which is basically the brain. If infection reaches the brain –
You, as a bun caretaker, would not notice symptoms, which is what’s so insidious about this. You can basically not detect it without skull…[Read more]

hi there!! 🙂 i’m not a first-time bunny owner, (I have a sweet boy I’ve had for 6 years back at home with my family, and I’ve gotten a new bun to have with me in my apartment). i’ve had cybil for a little over a week now! she’s a 3 yr old one-eyed lady <3 while it is unsurprising that she is so significantly different than my other bun, roger,…[Read more]
