LBJ10 replied to the topic Rabbit mites- HELP! in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 4 months ago
A rabbit pimple? What’s a rabbit pimple?
There’s no need to separate them at this point. If you think it’s mites, then you can treat them both with Revolution or Advantage. If it turns out to not be mites, then no harm done. I’m not sure where you are. Depending on the country, you may not be able to buy these products over the counter. Even if…[Read more]

Great to hear! I’d definitely stay somewhat vigilant for a while longer until they truly realize it’s a new part of the routine haha.

Hey!
I tend to grow my own veggies! But I also collect forage from areas which can also be as effective as veggies! Make sure to have an even mix of both though! You can always use leafy mixes that people use in salads, but make sure that they are ok for them to eat 🙂

<p style=”padding-left: 40px;”>I agree with LBJ in those are the most likely reasons. At the same time yes you may see an occasional one here or there and that doesn’t need to be too much of a concern. Regardless, it’s great that you were able to recognize this change.</p>
How many have you been seeing lately?

LBJ10 replied to the topic Seeing Cecotropes in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 4 months ago
Two things typically cause this:
- A young bunny on a rich diet will simply produce too many and they won’t eat some of them.
- An older bunny starts to develop arthritis and it make it difficult for them to reach them.
Other causes can include a bunny having GI issues (lots of causes) or a bunny responding to stress (although this seems less…[Read more]

Thanks for the heads up! We are ongoing in our efforts to fix up various glitches and technical issues. I will add this to our list and see what the outcome may be. It is possible that we may remove the friend feature, since it is not one we had in our previous forum version; however, we’ll see what happens! You are free to DM any user you’d like…[Read more]

Wick & Fable replied to the topic Theo has to have his teeth burred after 2nd vet visit 🙁 in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 4 months ago
My Netherland Dwarf Wick has had 14 molar spur grindings at this point — all of which he made through fine, as you can imagine (he’s sleeping right next to me right now, haha). The first dozen all happened before he hit 2yo, so he was very young, and very small; however, I fully trusted our vet and she was very explicit in explaining exactly…[Read more]

I’m glad you were able to find someone. I would have suggested an oral antibiotic as the way to go. Once an infection gets inside, it is difficult to control from the outside. You’ll have to keep us updated. Torn nails rarely become infected. When they do, it needs to be addressed quickly. You did a good job finding a vet on short notice. This has…[Read more]

Lops4Life! replied to the topic how to tell a bunny no in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years, 4 months ago
Like @DanaNM said, I used the spray bottle and it works a treat. Be careful not to spray too much/up their nose/in their eyes bc this could cause sniffles/maybe even infections:)

Hey! Can’t wait for you to introduce your buns here!
Im Alicia, and here are my two rabbits, Teddy and Daisy (in the picture below)<3
Teddy is a mixbreed Holland Lop (the all caramel-coloured one) and I adopted him at the age of 9 weeks! He was such a small baby and so shy!! ❤️
He loves food, cuddles and hiding in tunnels!

Have the blankets been washed with the same thing as you normally wash them with? I think it’ll just have some getting used to- sooner or later the blankets will get his scent on.
Is he neutered?
