I would be wary of any essential oil. Here is a thread where we talked about it: https://binkybunny.com/forums/topic/is-using-an-essential-oil-diffuser-safe-for-rabbitsae/
Reminder: Please do not reply to old topic threads. It creates confusion. If you would like to continue the conversation, please do it in this new thread you created.

@skysblue that reminds me of my cat, she would do that all the time too. Doors are meant to be open, must keep eye on you! 😀
@talesOfTybalt, do you think he thinks it’s another bun or that he’s admiring his own good looks?
Also not sure if this is just normal bun behavior, but Dorian is a licker, everything and especially everyone he likes,…[Read more]

prince dorian the bun replied to the topic behavior change after free roam in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years, 4 months ago
New bunny owner too, but from what I have read and heard it’s pretty normal behavior, basically they now know their territory so they don’t get the same need to explore it all. My bun, Dorian, is a bit like that too. He is pretty much free roam and yet most of the day he just hangs out in his room. He does have a couple areas he gets to visit for…[Read more]

@lindseyh Leo looks quite proud of his tent! What a cutie! Has he resisted chewing it?
Dorian is a huge flopper, especially in the evening.

Reglan, that’s it! She got two doses orally today, and one under-the-skin a few days ago from our regular vet. No change from Hunny after dose one today, but the vet is hoping dose two yields better results. I doubt it, personally, because this process is starting to defeat me. It’s so hard not having Hunny there to monitor personally.
The vet…[Read more]

Here’s my Leo enjoying his new willow tent from the one and only BB store! I had been considering buying one for a while now, and I am so happy I finally did because he LOVES it so far!!!! 😀 😀
@prince dorian the bun: Dorian is so precious! the second photo of him flopping has my heart!
@Hazel: Otis looks like he’s enjoying that…[Read more]

I am a new owner of two well-bonded six year old neutered male bunnies. They are super sweet unless I am holding them or brushing them. They will go hide if I don’t hold them for brushing, so I generally sit on floor, and tuck their head under crook of my arm and hold their hocks with one hand to brush them. I’ve tried other holding positions,…[Read more]

Louiethebunny started the topic rabbit tea? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years, 4 months ago
This is kind of a weird question, but I was wondering if rabbits can drink tea? Herbal teas, of course, nothing like chai or black tea, but if I were to pick some of my mint plants, dry it, and make it into tea, would it be safe for my bunny to drink? Sometimes I worry he doesn’t get enough water, and this might encourage him to drink more.

The motility drug is probably Reglan. It’s a brand name for metoclopramide. It’s very good.
If she’s not eating, there cant be much poop. If they’ve x-rayed her tummy an intestinal blockage would’ve been visible.
Do you know if they ever x-rayed her skull/teeth? I’m thinking of tooth root decay/infection/inflammation. I know they say her teeth…[Read more]

Vet tech just called again. Hunny just had her second dose of a motility drug that starts with “r” (don’t recall the name). No poops or eating yet. Vet hopes for “an explosion of poop” over night, but I’m starting to get cynical. Hunny pees fine but refuses the Critical Care when fed by the vet, as well. The tech said the only amount she gets in…[Read more]

Hi, so I have been diffusing essential oils often for a bit but I recently moved my rabbit into my room and didn’t realize it could be harmful, I should have done my research before, my mom will diffuse them around my dog so I just gathered it should be okay. I just was wondering if anyone knew what type would be safe for him or if I should stop…[Read more]

The sooner you go, the better the chances of a swift recovery. So I think you should make an appointment next week if possible. Respiratory infections in rabbits should be treated with antibiotics, so they dont spread to the middle ears or lungs.
