It could very well be that she’s misinterpreting the whole thing 😆

But it also seems to be a thing for one rabbit to act especially relaxed around the other one during bonding as an attempt to be seen as top bun. As in “This is my turf, I’m not worried about you whatsoever, look how much I don’t care!” *flop*

I am currently bonding my two rabbits, Wick (M) and Fable (F). They are currently at a stage that they are both free-roam in the living space and then they stay overnight in a small pen (because neither can be trusted unsupervised and the small pen has been helpful in dissipating Wick’s tension with Fable).

Several hours ago, my rabbit – Gigger – started to chew on some electrical tape that fell in her cage. She has been acting normal – sleeping, eating, drinking and pooping. She ate 3 layers of 1 cm by 2 cm electrical tape.

Yes I agree it is interesting they did a 180 on their stance on Alfalfa! They claim they did it because of consumer pressure…? But yes the proportion is on par with what you would give of Oxbow. Mine only get about a tablespoon each a day. I was def not into their formula that they recommended being free-fed. Hay eating is so important for teeth…[Read more]

I honestly don’t remember much about the dream! I feel like I was in a weird place and some how had bunnies with me though, and Fresno was one of them!

Seems like a few of us use the “layer of hay on top of poop” method. It works nicely with my girls because they won’t touch the hay that’s sitting on their poop but I tried it with Fresno and he ate it, so there was no more barrier between…[Read more]

tobyluv – Is there any reason you mix a bit of garden select in rather than using it as your main pellet source?

Hazel – a classic for sure! It’s what I fed when I first became a bunny mama and never had any problems with it.

Dana – I didn’t know Sherwood was offering timothy pellets without any alfalfa now. I find that kind of funny since they seemed so set in their “alfalfa is great for bunnies of all ages! we swear!” ways.
