Wick & Fable replied to the topic He thinks the couch is his litter box in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years ago
If you are consistent with shooing him off the couch, you may be able to teach him not to mess with it. I personally have found it difficult to allow my rabbits to be on my bed/couch reliably without them peeing on it. They are very comfy and love it, and I think this makes them lazy/reluctant to jump off to use a litter box. Couches are so…[Read more]

@HipHopBunny, I give him about 1//4 cup of pellets every morning as a routine. We started with about 1/3 but went down eventually to 1/4. Not sure why he loves pellets so much but it’s really cute seeing him super excited for his daily pellets. This morning, I ignored (felt bad though) his biting, and once it eventually stopped, then I fed him. I…[Read more]

Ollie’s mom replied to the topic Didn't think about consequences of adopting new rabbit in college in the forum THE LOUNGE 6 years ago
I got Ollie when I was 20 and in college. He’s been with me for 10 years, in 4 different homes and through the addition of 4 new pets. Our most recent move took us 6 hours from home 🙂 I went through college, grad school, and multiple jobs in that time. In 2 of my homes he even had his own room 🙂
He’s been my consistent best friend through it…[Read more]

My bun, 7mo neutered male, will not stop going potty on our couch. Luckily for us, it’s leather so we are able to put down pads and not have him ruin any sort of upholstery but it’s getting old. He is 100% potty trained otherwise, no issues going on the carpet at all, but as soon as he hops up on the couch, he thinks it’s a litter box. Full pees…[Read more]

Sonn!! I think the last time I was on here you were saying more buns. I popped on and you have a Tater Tot!
Jersey — Cottontail has 4 buns and two human babies! Pete did pass, but she still has the girl she adopted from the apartment plus a bf for her plus another pair of bonded buns.

Bam replied to the topic Lingering territorial poop smell… or scent gland cleaning time? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years ago
It’s very easy to clean the glands, if you have someone who can help you hold the bun. Prepare two q-tips with vaseline or veggie oil, have a few clean q-tips for cleaning the oil out of the glands post getting the goo out-if there is any goo. Sit her in the other person’s lap like she was sitting in an armchair. Gently widen the gland slit with…[Read more]

tanlover14 replied to the topic Adopting an older rabbit? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years ago
Adopting an older rabbit is super special, in my opinion. They’re so overlooked, but really for no reason! At 5/6 years old, she’s still young enough to where you probably won’t face a lot of the age related issues for another few years. This can depend on their background also, but most of 5/6 year olds I’ve had aren’t much different than 2-4…[Read more]
