Wonderful news!
If he is eating enough by himself you can stop the CC, but unless he hates it very much it doesnt hurt to keep him on a serving per day for a few more days just to make sure he gets all the nutrients he needs. Rabbits prefer to eat by themselves, there’s very little risk that he’ll get “spoilt” and prefer CC to normal rabbit…[Read more]

Hello. Thank you for the reply!

The vet said upon examination she didn’t think it was necessary to take an X-ray of the teeth.

Max started peeing and pooping yesterday! Throughout the day the poop became more round. It’s still relatively small and dark but it looks so much better than the fir…[Read more] -

Paper towel rolls stuffed with hay and a few pellets hidden inside are very easy and popular with buns 🙂
You can also make a paper mat by weaving newspaper or leftover packaging paper together. You can also make a hide out of a cardboard box and then stuff it with leftover packaging paper for the bun to dig and burrow around in. If you can find…[Read more]

Thank you so much for replying, i was already so anxious!
It’s my first time as a bunny mom and as long i got educated by my veterinary before i adopted Missô, some surprises keep happening hahaha.
I’ll keep an eye on her and see how the fur loss and dryness is going. Thank you so much again!

Rabbits can get dry skin when they molt, so that could be what you’re seeing.
Most (probably all) rabbits have mites on them. They get them from their mother. Its perfectly normal as long as the rabbit’s own immune defense keeps the numbers low. Just keep an eye on it, if it is mites that need treatment, it will get “worse”, i e more skin flakes…[Read more]

LBJ10 replied to the topic will my rabbit go blind?! in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 2 years, 4 months ago
I agree. This sounds like EC, especially if this “white line” is inside the eye (uveitis) since this is most commonly seen in younger rabbits. The good news is it is treatable and the treatment is relatively inexpensive. You do want to get on top of this right away though so it doesn’t cause more damage. EC can affect so many things and the…[Read more]

Hello everyone!
I have a 1 year old mini lop bunny called Misso and recently i’ve noticed a small fur loss around her up thigh. Looking closely, i saw small white flakes looking just like keratin (no scab, or redness/inflamation and the area wasn’t wet).
She doesn’t live with other bunnies or animals, so i hardly think it might be mites. She’s…[Read more]

Hi Rabby_Rabb, in young rabbits the appearance of a white line in the eye can indicate infection with the parasite E. cuniculi. It is treatable but should be addressed ASAP to prevent further damage. Blindness in rabbits is not actually a huge problem for them, but the parasite can cause other neurological damage and paralysis/seizures if left…[Read more]
