Different bunnies have different poop. I don’t see anything to be worried about.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Chronic Breathing issues? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years ago
It sounds like she has something obstructing her airway. I would have to checked to make sure it isn’t something that could be treated. There are cases where a bunny has a congenital problem with their pallet or sinuses, but I wouldn’t assume anything until other causes have been ruled out.

LBJ10 replied to the topic Bunny not eating and not pooping – behavior changed in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years ago
I agree with Dana. It could have been an episode of gas. Some bunnies will get a stomachache that will last for several hours and then they snap out of it on their own (or after a dose of simethicone).

It sounds like she is happy and wants to be pet. Some bunnies will seek out attention like that. I’m glad she has become comfortable with you so quickly.

Bam replied to the topic Molting? Missing fur in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years ago
It’s not uncommon for rabbits to molt in patches, and as Wick says, where the skin is baring it’s best to not brush. But it’s perfectly normal and you will soon see new peachy fuzz appear on the bald spots. These new hairs can temporarily be different in colour from the rest of her fur, but that’s because the wool and the top coat hairs don’t grow…[Read more]

It’s definitely a good thing. πΒ If she is asking for pets, feel free to give them freely and liberally!
She sounds a lot like Bun Jovi (my senior!), he was very demanding of pets immediately and flattens out like that. He did it the day I met him at the shelter and it was all I could do to not scoop him up right then and bring him home with me…[Read more]

Is your vet rabbit savvy?
Bunnies can sometimes have “gas attacks” that will cause them to be in pain, stop eating, etc., and then snap back to normal. That would be my guess, I’ve never heard of a “psychological” cause, other than fear or stress.
Certain veggies can cause gas, especially ones in the cabbage family like kale. Have you noticed a…[Read more]

That’s really unfortunate about the vet. π Can you bribe them? Beg? Threaten? LOL JK… sorta.
Agree with Wick unfortunately. I think it’s more likely to cause some issues than help once Tater Tot’s hormones kick in.

DanaNM replied to the topic Sudden trouble in paradise in the forum BEHAVIOR 6 years ago
You have already identified your main problem: the 4 are not fully bonded. The change in the territory arrangement triggered some new territorial disputes. Unless you plan to formally bond them as a quad, you should not let them roam together, as they are likely to hurt each other.
I recommend getting some x-pens or nic cube grids again so you…[Read more]

You could even use clicker training to get him used to the brush as well. π

Aside from being a bit smaller, that looks like a healthy poop, and still within a normal range (although I don’t have a scale). As long as they are uniform and all else looks good (and your vet isn’t worried), I prob wouldn’t worry too much.

DanaNM replied to the topic Advice for Bonding 3 rabbits together (Aggression advice also welcome) in the forum BONDING 6 years ago
It’s very common for rabbits to experience “referred aggression” when a new rabbit arrives in the house. Rabbits are so smell-oriented, they get confused by the new rabbit’s smell on you.
Good news is that should calm down with time and neutering of the boys.
For now be sure to wash your hands and arms after handling the new bun and before…[Read more]

Well, I made the decision to end the session after about 8 hours last night to give everyone (including me) a break and a good night’s sleep. Good news is, Bun Jovi groomed Bonnie at one point, and the girls seemed to be calming down. Also good news is Myra and Bun Jovi are still good with each other, they were cuddling and grooming throughout the…[Read more]

Sounds like everything is going we for you both :).
Those definitely sound like bunny purrs if its similar to the sound of her munching on some hay. In the picture it looks like she is lowering her head closer to the ground while you pet her. It is definitely a sign she is enjoying the pets, a sign of trust and it is not too early. As long as she…[Read more]

Hi all! Just now I was sitting down with OB, she flopped and her breathing sounded like seagulls. She’s fine now, though. Am I over-worrying about her breathing?
