I gave him a belly massage maybe an hour ago. His stomach felt kind of firm. Muffins feels the same though, but I felt him when he was laying down and Pinky when he was sitting hunched. if I’m not mistaken, water-based wood stain that has been left to completely cure should be safe for pets. Or you could use natural food dyes, I guess make sure first the bun doesn’t like to eat wood or rope before you build anything!

You could try stacking something on top of it? I also use a covered litter box and although my rabbits haven’t tried to jump on top of it (yet), I keep a basket on top of it that I store stuff in. I feel like it’s just tall enough that it deters them from trying to jump up there.

I don’t know why rabbits pee when they have been pet, but some do. It could perhaps be a relaxation thing? It’s not an observandum, but it is of course inconvenient for the human.

What about one of those hard plastic lunch trays? Probably wouldn’t look that nice, but if her bowls were heavy ceramic it would prob be heavy enough not to move around. Or maybe even a small rug with a some heavy ceramic tiles on top?
