Most human-oriented pets will seek attention by doing stuff that gets them attention, good or bad. I agree with Dana, she does sound like a good candidate for clicker training. High activity level, an adventurous mind and a wish for attention from her human are traits that make it likely that she’d respond well to clicker training.
A side effect…[Read more]

@DanaNM – That’s a great idea! She would take to that really well, I think – super quick mind. I’m just not sure how to go about it without having to close her mate (Lola) up while I work with her. I’m sure I can figure something out.
Hazel is extremely food motivated and I already have a couple of puzzle toys and she figures them out super fast…[Read more]

Binkies can also be an expression of frustration, so it can also be like a “Fine! I’ll stop, ugh.”. My Wick does those binkies exclusively.

He is neutered and he’s about 4 or 5. He’s not overweight when he went for his check up in June. The only change was we’ve been giving him 1 small leaf of fresh greens every night, mainly scraps from the veggies we cut away. I guess we’ll stop doing that.

She sounds like she might be a good candidate for clicker training! Once you have the basics down, you could then use her training to redirect her to more appropriate activities. Then you are rewarding her for the good activity, not the bad one.
That combined with enrichment type toys and food puzzles could be very good for her.
Also, rather…[Read more]

Do you mean his cecotropes? Has there been a change in his diet?
Not eating all his cecals combined with the change in when he eats makes me think maybe he is in some sort of pain. How old is he? Is he overweight? Sometimes buns that are arthritic or obese can’t eat their cecals very easily and end up leaving them around. Or he might be producing…[Read more]

Here is one of Dorian being sassy, I told him to stop messing about with the pillow and he looked up with his head tilted (it was even more so in real life than photo). He did stop for at least 30 seconds though, we are making progress with the word no π

Hello, I have a three month old Holland Lop who is super sweet and affectionate. I’m a first time bunny mom and unfortunately I’m having a lot of other behavioral issues. He LOVES to be out of his cage, which is probably my fault for letting him come out too frequently before completing litter training. He will push his face nose through the wire…[Read more]

Hi! π
Is he neutered? Unneutered rabbits will leave territorial poops and pees all over the house, so that could be the cause behind it. They have an oniony smell, clogs up your nose! π That would be my best guess, if not, then I’m at a puzzlement along with you. π
Wishing you answers!

HipHop: That’s awesome! πΒ I’m jealous! There’s never too many pictures in the picture thread. πΒ How many cats do you have? Pumpkin is adorable!
Dorian: I don’t know, the sound is hard to describe. Kinda like a hoarse, tiny pig? π
Sonn: They’re so cute together! So funny that Miss won’t move with him there. You know bunnies can’t see y…[Read more]

Hi everyone, I posted here in the past with my dutch bunny being obsessed with peeing on the couch, but recently he started leaving his soft special poop all over the carpet! He’s usually very good and goes in his litter box, I don’t know what got into him. He still leaves his regular poop in the litter. I did notice he stopped eating during the…[Read more]

Hazel: π Oh yes, I have a whole farm! (well, technically not, but I sure have a lot… π ) I’ve got chickens, ducks, a turkey, cats, rabbits, an elderly dog, Miguel, and fish. π I think that would be a bit too many pictures. π The cat in the picture was Pumpkin. The cats and the rabbits don’t get along so good, so there is one portion…[Read more]

Oh definitely, it doesn’t help that they are fragile little creatures. Though I am learning maybe not as fragile as made out to be, still it took me several months to just relax a little.

@Sonn – Tater Tot is just a tiny ball of precious! Love that pic!!
@HipHopBunny – Have you ever had Miguel race any of the buns π and who is that handsome kitty?
@Hazel – Ha! Dorian has never grunted… he will sit there and wobble his plate if it is empty for too long though, I am curious what a bun grunt sounds like now! π

Some seeds are difficult to digest, so they go right through. This is important for many plants, they rely on birds and wild animals to eat their seeds, then carry them away a distance where the seed can be deposited with the poop (excellent manure!) and maybe grow into new plants. There are even seeds that won’t sprout if they haven’t first…[Read more]

Thanks! I figured itβs probably not an issue since I saw these seeds fall off some of the hay after I noticed those poops. I just thought they would be digested into the poops? It couldβve fallen on top since there were some inside too.
