I also took a away one of her houses that she was eating a lot more than the others because I was worried about how much she was eating. After I took it away her poops got much nicer and she started eating more hay. Is there any of the toys she eats less than the others that you could keep using for her?

The fact that she’s chewing cardboard isn’t a problem, but problems arise when they eat too much cardboard (which is what I’m guessing is happening). With a belly full of cardboard, they don’t have room for all the hay they need to keep their systems moving steadily. The rescue warned me of this with my girl, but we’ve been pretty good so far. S…[Read more]

I had a problem with my bunny drinking a ton and peeing a ton and was really bad about using her litter box. She also was sneezing a lot. She was treated with penicillin and it would get better but never completely knocked it out. Finally after 4 weeks worth of azithromycin we finally got rid of it and she quite peeing nearly as much. Then I…[Read more]

I have a rabbit who is having another round of stasis. I am starting to think it may be related to the cardboard hidey boxes/maze. It seemed like when I removed them, she stopped having issues and now that I have put them back she has started having problems again. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I hate to remove them, because…[Read more]

If they are doing well and you feel up for it, the I say go for the overnight! It does sound like you are in the home stretch.

The rule of thumb is that after 48 hours of living together happily with no incidents requiring intervention from you, you can call them bonded, but that bond can be a little unstable as it’s still being “cemented”. I…[Read more]

Does this seem like a change, or has it always been like this? My buns do tend to sleep all day, but they prob do visit their box at least once during the day.

I agree with Bam. The bonding with you wouldn’t be an issue, but it would be good to wait at least a few days after bringing him home to make sure he is healthy and allow him to settle into his new environment.

Adult rabbits normally rest during the day. They mostly poop during their active hours. How does the poop look when she does poop?

    Hi
<p style=”padding-left: 40px;”>It seems like a crazy question to be asking after 10 years of having my rabbit Boo. But as she never had any issues pooing before I never paid attention to what hours of the day she’s meant to poo.</p>
Her last poo is at 7am her next poo is at 7pm. I’m assuming this isn’t normal.

I would love some impit as to…[Read more]

I doubt it would affect your bonding very much, but the stress from travel could potentially put a bit of strain on him. A rabbit neuter is a pretty simple affair though, if the rabbit is healthy and reasonably young. (With an older rabbit you might have to warm the bun up post surgery with a heating pad, sock with rice, hand warmers or a warm…[Read more]

Update- second try in shared space. Lots of cuddles. There has been some zooming but it did not turn into fights. I caught them circling a few times but they stopped after I did a psssst. they are sharing water, toys, and a litter box. I figured I would wait to put their individual litter boxes

I’m hoping we are in the home stretch. Should I k…[Read more]
