Bam replied to the topic Is my bunny shedding? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years ago
It sounds like she’s shedding. Abnormal hairless due to mites or a fungal infection compes with compromised skin. If her skin looks fine, feels smooth and there’s not a lot of dandruff or areas of the skin that feel “thickened” (easier felt than seen), this is in all likelihood a normal shed.
Buns can shed in a variety of patterns and often get…[Read more]

Guys my bunny is a 5 months old Lionhead. The fur on her ears and around it to the back of her head is falling, she doesn’t have bald spots but i can see her skin more than before. She is itching but not alot so I think it’s normal, and her skin looks fine. Is this a part of shedding or should I see a vet?because the fur in her body isn’t falli…[Read more]

Starlightbunny replied to the topic Lazy bunnies? in the forum HOUSE RABBIT Q & A 6 years ago
I have a very lazy and spoiled little bunny. She does zoomies for a few minutes and then goes back to laying around. Nothing wrong with that 🙂 as long as bunny is happy and healthy.

Starlightbunny replied to the topic How many times a day should they be eating cecotropes? in the forum DIET & CARE 6 years ago
Yeah, Starlight eats them quite often. Usually afternoon and when I’m sleeping. So yes I’d say multiple times is normal.

Thanks for the suggestions. I’m going to get a new litterbox soon and will look for something hard plastic or not chewable. But for now I put a toilet paper roll over it and it seems to be working fine.

Have they checked his liver enzymes? They can be elevated due to stasis alone, but since this has been going on for a while, an ultrasound of the liver to rule out a problem there could be good.

I am currently trying to solve this problem as well. I think I am going to purchase one of those hard mats that you put beneath office chairs. I have had luck searching for these by typing out ‘hard floor protector hardwood floors’. I found one thats about 4 feet x 5 feet for $40. Pricey but if you are renting and need to protect the floors might…[Read more]

Jdjjffh
I have had so many difficulties finding a suitable litter pan for my rabbit. Initially I just had a regular pan for her, but she would sit in there and her bum would get really dirty and matted. I solved this by putting a grate on the pan. However, she would pee off the edges, and also i think it wasn’t so comfortable. After this I began…[Read more]
